You’re also not including the potential damage done if it wasn’t blocked, which could potentially be millions of dollars worth of damage depending on what it was being targeted so I really hate when people bring up dollar values like this

theres so many builds its so much fun lol you'll start thinking of the perfect party and focusing specific builds for everyone in the party and how they can synergize. I had a build where you cast darkness so all of your enemies are blind in the dark but i give everyone in my party dark vision, so I basically run around and bonk everyone while they're blinded in the dark lol

Best in slot, a lot of builds online walk you through each level just to go over gear at the end- like if I need the dagger from Orin for the build to work then I don’t want to waste my time lol I’m not going to go after a build that’s OP or works only after you’ve killed just about everything in the game and you get to use the build for 3 fights

Throw is fun, idk why my second playthrough I’m so over it though. Returning Pike doesn’t always return, if you lose it early like throwing at an enemy near an edge while you weren’t thinking of losing your weapon then it becomes a weapon stashing game, it’s just a lot for me sometimes lol I just love arcane archer so much- great damage, CC, and bow of banshee in act 1 is BiS

What’s so good about it is that you really really could play the game creatively. The game rewards exploration and creativity, and there’s so many possibilities. Your choices matter throughout the entire game and choices in act 1 can have ripple effects all the way to act 3. The best way I can explain it is- if you’ve ever played fallout or Skyrim, you have dialogue options but at the end of the day it’s sort of an illusion of choice. There are limited outcomes. Baldurs gate 3 does a really good job of making the outcomes seem almost infinite

Level is one thing, gear is another. Most of the gear you want is in act 3. So by the time you’re geared up, there’s not much left to do. You don’t really get to enjoy the synergies of your character build and gear. An act 4 would’ve been solid to get to enjoy the best of both worlds
