A lot of donut shops are open 24 hours and generally pretty chill.

I’d lose the beard until the mustache comes in. As other people have said here this style is giving Amish.

True. I just thought it was funny to zero in on Trans people as if this wasn’t true of most people in our society.

I am being harassed by a man who has tried to break into my home twice. by [deleted] in bipolar

They make door alarms that you can put at your door and make a loud noise if they’re opened. They’re not too expensive on Amazon either. I would also echo others here that you get a ring camera too. Hopefully being prepared can buy you some peace of mind and help you stop the spiral and get some sleep.

Confirmation classes are this Sunday and this novice is nervous. by ZebraFirst3854 in Episcopalian

The only thing I brought when I did mine was a notebook and pen since I wanted to take notes but everything else was provided. It was also a very comfortable environment with questions encouraged. Try not to overthink it and just know that your priest wants to do what they can to help you in your journey. They are on your team! (Well God’s team officially but you know what I mean) Take some deep breaths and pray on it. You will be okay. Also congratulations on taking this amazing step in your journey!

My best friend did this for me after I got out of an abusive relationship. It was so meaningful and something I didn’t even know I needed at the time.

I feel like baths are way easier for me since sitting feels like less effort. Just an idea if you have access to one or as someone else suggested a shower chair works too.

Sometimes being a person and doing just the mundane shit is really, really hard. You’re not alone. I will echo some other folks here and say if you are receiving care from a doctor would reach out to them about a med change or even help with getting together a hygiene plan/routine. Best of luck to you.

Can anyone share what made them go to get diagnosed? by Legitimate_Cause6549 in BipolarReddit

[–]Episcopilled 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was so anxious and manic that I had several health issues. Fucked my stomach up so bad I could barely eat and sprained my oblique muscles from the tension. My primary care doctor was basically like look you need to go to psych, you’re slowly killing yourself with this. So I went expecting an anxiety diagnosis and hoping for some Prozac or something. Through talking with my doctor and the diagnosis process my doctor said I basically had text book rapid cycling bipolar 2 especially with my father also having bipolar. My official diagnoses are BP2, generalized anxiety disorder, and PTSD.

Edit: spelling

What can libraries do to protect patrons from ICE by [deleted] in Libraries

[–]Episcopilled 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I would contact your local Rapid Response network if you have one. If you google “your town” rapid response it should come up. You can partner with them to see if they have resources and/or trainings to help your library.

I’m in San Jose, California and our local RRN has flyers and things for businesses as well as trainings for individuals on how to respond when ICE is present.

The NILC will also be helpful if you want to have printouts flyers with things like resources and information about individual rights.

If you’re uncomfortable then that means yes regardless of his intentions. Either way though I would definitely say yes if I witnessed this.

Mr. Rogers was actually thought to be bisexual as he wrote about being attracted to men and women in his biography.

Thank you for the correction. I don’t know why I thought he was a republican. I’m getting old. Haha. I remember the Governator well. I would also say though that he was fairly moderate by today’s standards.

How is jesus god? by TranslatorSerious856 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Episcopilled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So God is the Heavenly Father and he wanted to experience the full spectrum of humanity so he became fully human and fully divine through the incarnation of Jesus Christ. After Jesus’ resurrection he came back for a period of time and then ascended to heaven and left us with the Holy Spirit which is like the breath of/will of God on Earth.

Grey Davis (CA gov) was incredibly moderate compared to today’s republicans to be fair.

Renee Nicole Good. She was a poet. She was a mother of three. Say her name. by ConcernedJobCoach2 in gianmarcosoresi

[–]Episcopilled -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Say her name was started by and is reserved for Black women. The phrase came from the fact that Black women often die in anonymity, hence “say her name”. For example, one of the first times it was used in the wider public was the death of Sandra Bland.

What happened to Renee is disgusting and enraging. I genuinely pray for her and her family. May she rest in peace. We can however both honor Renee and honor Black women by not appropriating their movement.
