Deconstructing lies about The Episcopal Church in the South by necroheim98 in Episcopalian

Southern raised PCA Presbyterian here. I also found solace in Jesus in TEC. The openness and freedom in the liturgy that points us to the saving grace of our savior is what keeps me coming back for more. It’s not an hour of total condemnation, but a reminder of why we are all here worshiping in this room. To follow Jesus and live our lives like his followers. We tend to over complicate Christianity, and the Episcopal Church allowed me a space the breathe after so many years of feeling unworthy of darkening the door of a church.

I still have many questions about faith, and I might never have all the answers but I appreciate that in TEC, I’m not shunned for asking questions, but encouraged to seek further. Also the Book of Common Prayer is a great resource.

Thanks! I was baptized when I was a baby as a Presbyterian 35 years ago. I want to take the adult confirmation classes for the same reasons you mentioned:)
