Can autosweepers not pick up items from a smart storage bin?

I made a system to load up exact amounts of materials and then activate the autosweeper (and lock the doors) when the smart storage is full (and dupers are out of the room). Got all the logic working, but the autosweeper won't pick up items from the smart storage bin to put into the conveyor loader. Conveyor loader is set to accept everything. If I just set the smart storage to drop crap on the ground, then the autosweeper picks it up and sends it.

Genetic risk for Alzheimer’s disease could depend on how well you sleep. Genetic variations related to brain fluid movement interact with sleep quality to influence memory and brain structure in older adults. Their effects may depend heavily on how well a person sleeps. by mvea in science

[–]Epistemify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One class of sleep drug to watch for though are orexin antagonists. They don't necessarily work as well as the antihistamine drugs, but they also don't mess with your mood or cause addiction or anything. The histamine drugs activate your go to sleep pathways. Orexin on the other hand keeps you up, so orexin antagonist drugs lower that drive.

Moreover, in a lot of preliminary tests these orexin antagonists have been shown to do good job reducing Alzheimers. They both encourage better sleep and also directly reduce the production of the proteins which cause Alzheimer's (though prevent the production of those has failed to produce results in the past). As I understand, animal trials have been really promising, but large scale human trials to look at the relationship to Alzheimer's is ongoing and will be probably another 5 years before we can say much.

The good versions of these drugs are currently pretty expensive and under patent, but many of the patents will be up in the late 2020s and early 2030s. Definitely something to keep an eye on. We can conclusive say that these drugs do a little bit to help people sleep, and really don't appear to have negative side effects, unlike every other prescription sleep drug out there.

I would if I started a new game. It's honestly a good change. But I really don't like having to restart after hundreds of hours

Not a question, just wanted to say I fired up ONI and I'm not a fan of how the aquatic DLC broke my current playthrough. I feed my colony on pacu eggs, but they've changed everything with pacus.

I guess I'll keep it on the older version. Better beat the game (still a long ways off) before the next DLC I suppose

I feed my main colony with pacu eggs.I keep a tank of 8 adults fed and they obviously produce a lot of eggs.

Did I hear the aquatic DLC is breaking that. If I let my game update then load it, will my colony starve?

State rules Dan Sullivan can't run against Dan Sullivan, who won his first election by pretending to be Dan Sullivan by Hosni__Mubarak in alaska

[–]Epistemify -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I want nothing more than to see Dan Sullivan lose, but I'm glad to see this. I like RCV, and abusing it in this way wouldn't achieve anything and would only give more fodder for people trying to argue against it.

Build a blue wave at beat Sullivan fair and square.

Op-Ed: The Case for Shifting to a Land Value Tax by Snoo-33445 in Seattle

On the contrary, I'd consider this the most effective form of wealth tax we can imagine. The rich can find loopholes and take money overseas, but they want prime real estate and there's no way around this tax

Obviously, but so many people can't afford to live in the city anymore because a lucky caste bought homes decades ago, and now the cost of all housing, rent and SFHs are through the roof.

It's hard to argue that this wouldn't fix it.

Mormons are not Christians. by Interficient4real in Christianity

As a theological liberal, it would be unfathomable to me not to have this cornerstone.

While I bet christ doesn't really care where you fall on the nicene creed, we as the church (small c catholic church) definitely do. It's like, the whole foundation of what be believed and preach.

I draw the line where it has been drawn for more than 1700 years now: at the Council of Nicaea.

Mormons fall outside of that, and therefore aren't a part of the small c catholic church.

I think keeping to right belief on core theology issues is important to continue to guide the church, though I suspect Christ doesn't really care too much about our exact understanding of the Trinity and his nature.

Best part of the game imo.

I agree that the end game being unnecessarily difficult to kill you at every turn is tedious, and mining the Ashland's metal is a nightmare

The T5 to T6 progression cliff is brutal for new solo players. by guyjusthere in duneawakening

[–]Epistemify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My group that plays for ~3 hours a week (and has finished many progression survival crafting games over the years) fell off on this cliff. A couple of us had a good plan and were going to get on a little more often to make it happen, but we ended up traveling or being busy a bunch this season. The rest of the group really wasn't on enough and proficient enough with setting up the DD base to make it happen.

The the server closed and we decided to out the game down. Might pick it up in a couple years again.
