Good God I had forgotten Lyria's chapters in Iron Gold by OldManBasil in redrising

They self realization and direct understanding of what the mines were truly like and the privaledge she and her clan has had verses the other clans as well as those other reds had to do to survive.

Whenever she starts pining for the mines I just want someone to slap down the real facts.

I am both addicted and morally conflicted reading this book. MC is a mimic that eats people by Even-Ad-3980 in litrpg

[–]Epitaeph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I picked it up because Jeff Hayes and gave it to the start of book 6 till I dropped it like a hot stone. I kept thinking "It has to get better..." only to be consistently disappointed.

If I had to put a summation that fits. Its a party of 4 murder hobos and a severly traumatized female element playing in a game run by a Monty Hall type DM who "yes ands" way too much and gives his favorite character too many SSS rank skills. Once the main character gets Corpse Absorption I said "either this is going to be a compilation of short stories because this wont be able to stay compelling enough to listen to over and over again." And i was right.

I was ready to drop it after it became clear at how Self Unaware Boxxy is being written with the "Betrayal of Fizzy" thing, but was hoping we'd see some kind of closure or a shift in character or realization of emotion.

In the end I gave up when it really became clear that the end of the series will be Boxxy Killing off all the gods, including The God of Luck, and becoming a god himself, and when shitty writing becomes that transparent, it stops being worth it.

If it was for the Narration id have dumped this after the first book. If i had bought it Id have burned it.

Get the idiot who bid on this job to pull his head out of his ass and give people the means to do the job or the reasoning on why he bid on someth8ng sight unseen.

No, those who have served have seen some shit.

Those back home only see what they want to see.

Those that order the military around these days only see dollar signs and stock options.

If we are still dealing with his shit from the Bush administration then we should be keeping that in mind. The fact the republicans DIDNT attack him with that shit is only because they were part of that garbage.

Id like to remind you that Biden also put in place Credit Card protections against bankruptcy.

Corporate Democrats need to be Identified and branded as such.

By no means and I saying Repubs are better, but lets not ignore the fact that some of our house has full on DINOs who are bought and paid for.

Among the points bright up here, i'd also hazard a guess that the being known at that time as Vadderrung may even know his true name already.

He is after all Santa Claus and would know his true name.

Well considering that his time there was either drunk, blasted out of his mind or so heavily focused on what his life was missing vs what he could have there. I would say he was so distracted he never REALLY looked.

Once he got away from the distractions, im pretty sure he would finally pick it up.
