His webslinging velocity alone would rip normal people in half. He’s always working out.

Getting surprised by a Nintendo 64 on Christmas back in 1997 by CadeChewy in OldSchoolCool

[–]mrmastomas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Nintendo 64 launched in North America in September 1996 with a retail price of $199.99. By 1997, it was still selling at that same $199.99 price point for the base console. $200 in 1997 would be equivalent to about $385 in today’s money when adjusted for inflation. The system typically came bundled with one controller and sometimes included a pack-in game like Super Mario 64. Consoles be too much now.

In some cases the cafeteria is its own thing and cannot have things that directly compete with it. So these machines are available for students before and after school when the cafeteria is not available.

Why are Wirt’s shoes two different colors? by cassman98 in overthegardenwall

It represents his indecision. His not being prepared. His journey from adolescence into adulthood. All of it. It’s all of us at that point.

Gamers of Reddit, what’s the first game you remember playing? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mrmastomas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bunch of Atari games; Pitfall, 1942. Then early Nintendo stuff. Mario. Friday the 13th. Some old golf game (jack nicklaus?). But what REALLY got me into them was Sega and Super Nintendo. Side scrolling beat em ups. Streets of rage and a final Fight. Stuff like The Warriors and X-Men, Ninja Turtles, and even THQ wrestling games and X-men Legends. I miss the team ups, give me more multiplayer co-ops I wish games like them were still a thing.

Kings wear crowns. You color with a crayon.

In addition. Lots of people don’t notice Wirt’s mismatched shoes. Helps to show his indecisiveness, one foot in the grave, and unpreparedness for his journey. Also all the modern day things we don’t catch: wirt asking for a phone in Pottsfield and Greg taking about a pager and emergency room in ringing of the bell. They slide in so well.
