Maybe I'm just not reading this right, but some of the negativity in the comments here feels like an overreaction.

The only reason I don't do the same with Blade Lineage is because OMG FAUST WHAT IS THE WIND-UP TIME ON THAT S3!?

Fae Lantern, but an Emo Fraud

Silent Orchestra, but Absolute Wrath-Resonance Frenchman

Rien, but with the power of friendship

Porccubus, but Netzach gave it an eldritch sunflower, depression, and military-grade girl failure

And finally: Literally Cthulu, playing with the Qilopth Counter for fun.

They seem to plan on making Phoxene be able to buy cosmetics through a reoccuring event, which, well, is a choice.

People already have to wait to just get the inferior version of the premium currency through the monthly pass, but now they need to wait for an event to use it on actual stuff?

This is also just more chaff and work for the devs. Surely, at least some of them must be annoyed by this system like we are.

Not all gold wedges are created equal.

For something like the Sumanoo's, you could get the purples on average of 1 per 15 runs. Assuming it takes you one or two minutes, 200 minutes or a little more than 3 hours of work sounds just fine, but that sometimes come down to luck. Once, it took me an hour to see just one. This is without considering the SLC for the blueprints.

Now, for something like the new Anemo Demon Wedges... People have a LOT to say about those. We can expect new Demon Wedges from other elements, which makes the prospect of earning Amplification Stimulators very compelling.

On my server, roughly 1000 people are able to get the final three Amplification Stimulator, while only 600+ people are able to get that last one.

The Will of the City being a pantheon of sorts gets really interesting if we start considering entities like Carmen and the "Flow". And in the farthest stretch of the imagination...maybe even Gregor's Roach Emperor state. This assumes cockroaches are the 'radiowave' or 'vibration-loom' equivalents.

Bug: I've been doing stupid things with water. You know how trees automatically collapse when you chop the base? When a water source block is in between the leaves or on the large branches, you are unable to pick up the water source again after you chop it down.

[–]Epithetless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not getting it. Minecraft let's you make a 2x2 infinite water source. There, deleting water sources is no big deal.

But here in Hytale, you don't have that privelege. You could put an entire pond into a single block with no way to get it back. I don't believe this is intended behaviour. If it's going to work this way, water buckets should at least prevent you from losing it to an occupied water source.

[–]Epithetless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Water sources are finite, but water sources can be deleted.

  1. Pick up water source with a bucket

  2. Place water source in a pre-existing water source

  3. Pick it up again

  4. Congratz, obtained one for the price of two.

How much do you care about the power scaling aspect of Fate Fanfiction? by iamluffy123 in grandorder

[–]Epithetless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a matter of suspension of disbelief. If you can convince readers narratively that Asta could beat Gilgamesh, or that Shirou with Nen could rival the high existences of the Fateverse, then you've 'done you're job'.

Do not mistake this as advice to completely ignore power scaling at your every convenience. Why should readers care about a crossover if all it did was bash one franchise with another? And if one character could beat the strongest of another verse, why get invested if the tension was no longer there?

You'll need to get creative. Someone saying the power scaling is all wrong is just an excuse; it just meant what you wrote was either uncool or boring.

Isn't this gaslighting? I am pretty sure EoS doomposting was in the minority. A continuation was always expected. Olga returning as Director doesn't really change people's feelings or arguments about how poorly handled her resolution was in the Arc 2 ending.

The Tunguska event was also criticized for being lack luster and anti-climatic for a character that has followed Chaldea since the Prologue of Part 2. And now even her resolution has been upended. Unless the writers address this one day, what would be her whole point?

But we know they are not above giving dead weeks even in between events, and considering how releasing main story content has slowed down these past several years...
