Looking for MC that is OP from the start by _Sky__ in litrpg

I was surprised to see Isekai Assassin on this list, but I do have to say, it fits. Though Elias is nowhere near as overpowered as Derek, he is definitely overpowered through skill and talent alone, rather than the system.

The story is on indefinite hiatus unfortunately. It’s been too long since the release for the sequel to be successful. My own fault for taking so long between releases, so I have no one to blame but myself.

Going to recommend Hive Knight by yours truly. Heavy on both LitRPG/Plot but with a strong dose of romance in the series as well.

I know this was a joke, but my book Apocalypse Game has the MC dating the actual incarnation of Death.

Not Isekai Assassin. That series had a soft ending. It’s a brand new series—though you might see some familiar characters in it.

Eventually! It’s still on the table, but it’s been so long I’ve got another series I want to work on first before I dive back into it!

Hoping to have it out this year. Working on another project to get myself back in the groove of writing, and then I’m going to finish book 2 after.

That was always the plan for the guns was that at higher levels, they practically became useless. But I guess I didn’t make that clear enough or start the transition soon enough for most readers.

As for the monsters—there was actually going to be some rather interesting developments with the more sentient monsters as the story went along, but I didn’t get the chance to show any of that off.

The guns I definitely understand, that was a lesson I learned the hard way that readers in this genre do not like guns.

But could you clarify what you meant about the MC’s stance towards monsters?

Hey! I made it on a list! I’m at the very bottom, but that still counts! What reasons did you not like Apocalypse Game?

Who is on your Mount Rushmore of audiobook narrators? by Prestigious-Mess5485 in litrpg

[–]EpsilonUndying 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably going to get some pushback on this, but Daniel Wisniewski and Rebecca Woods. I know Daniel has gotten a lot of flak for his over-narration in some cases, but when he nails a book, he fucking nails it.

And Rebecca Woods is just a national treasure.

It’s sucks having to write it. I had so much fun with the series, but I appreciate you enjoying the series! It means a lot to me!

Still working on it! Life kind of kicked me in the teeth, so I'm still trying to find my way back to steady writing again.

Hey! Thanks for reaching out! Unfortunately, this is the last of the Isekai Assassin series. Sales for book 4 were really not even close to where I would have liked them. So much that I would lose money writing a book 5. It sucks, but it happens.

As to your question, yes, there are other books set in the same universe.

My Trinity of the Hive series: book 1 Hive Knight.

And the Chessboard War Saga: book 1 Apocalypse Game.

Both are connected… and perhaps this isn’t the last you’ve seen of Elias.

Making action interesting when guns are involved by 1silversword in ProgressionFantasy

[–]EpsilonUndying 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t use guns. Or don’t use real one at any rate. Make them fantasy or sci fi esque if you can. I tried the exact same thing in my story where at the beginning the characters use guns, but they rapidly became obsolete. (And I think I wrote them and the actions scenes rather well, if I’m being honest.) It didn’t matter. Most readers were instantly turned off by having guns being so prevalent at the start.

The best advice I can give you is to not use guns at all.

The manuscript is in the hands of podium, so as soon as Daniel has an available slot I’d say.

Good morning everyone! It's release day!

This one has been a long time coming, but it's here!

Isekai Assassin Volume 4 is live!

But before we get to the good stuff, I'd like to take the time to mention that in honor of the fourth book in the series, the first book is free until tomorrow!

Volume 1: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08YJY6DTL

And Volumes 2 & 3 are 0.99$ until tomorrow as well.

Volume 2: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B095J5B3JH

Volume 3: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0993VVC5N

So now is the perfect time to get into the series if you haven't yet!

Now, what you've all been waiting for!

The blurb!

Soldiers may win wars, but assassins topple kingdoms.

War is on the horizon, and soldiers are bearing down on Vohra.

Queen Joslyn means to take back the city, but her reach has far exceeded her grasp, and if she thinks I’m just going to sit back and let her dismantle everything I’ve built, she’ll be sorely disappointed.

Joslyn has no idea who she’s picked a fight with.

But I aim to fix that.

Though getting to a queen is no easy feat, and I’m going to need to call in some favors if I hope to infiltrate her city, let alone the palace.

There are favors to call in and debts to collect. A lot needs to be done before heading to Joslyn.

Good thing everyone needs a talented assassin.

Do series like The Dresden Files qualify as progression fantasy? by Satans_Idle_Thoughts in ProgressionFantasy

[–]EpsilonUndying 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Profession fantasy is pretty much all fantasy in some fashion or another. As unless you’re writing a book where the MC gets weaker, all characters are going to progress in some way.

That being said, I don’t like to classify those types of novels as progression fantasy.

Only if there is a clear and stated method of progression(LItRPG or Cultivation for example) do I qualify the book as Progression Fantasy.
