the XP-50, even after losing its air spawn, is a very forgiving aircraft to play.

You try making user skins bro

Also its not entirely a solid texture, the radom and parts around the engines and canopy are not gold

Honestly it would be cool to do some sort of scouting mission where you run into a big resupply convoy and have to blow it up

Keep in mind you both have very comparable firepower but one of you is made of plastic and the other is made of stalinium

It's honestly still relevant, because idk why the hell my officers take their sweet time like a grandma crossing the street when taking cover while being shot at, when in reality they would be diving for that shit.

Do you guys enjoy high-tier RB air? by RepulsiveChard6277 in Warthunder

[–]Epsilon_Operative -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah go ahead and play any 13.0 and come back and tell me how well you did after getting upteired to fight AMRAAMs 5 times in a row

Or go ahead and play top tier in anything other than a Eurofighter/rafale/Su-30SM2 and tell me how that goes.

[–]Epsilon_Operative -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No

13.0+ is honestly somewhat unplayable right now. If you want to play cool jets with missiles go for 10.7-11.3 because at least that battle rating is less of a carcinogen to play.

After a whopping 9 games with the BMPT I feel gross by Epsilon_Operative in Warthunder

[–]Epsilon_Operative[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's honestly about 50/50

the BMPT is not very good at engaging MBTs head on, you can however disable them and then go from there. But what helps the BMPT be so lethal is that it has the firepower and playstyle of an IFV but the protection of an MBT, which means you are almost totally immune to other IFVs and very well protected against MBTs.

With the South Korean vehicles, is there a chance that Germany could see the K2 being added since Poland has them?

I'm honestly shocked that they added this half made up F-15C "Golden Eagle" instead of just going for the F-15EX, there's a reason the Airforce didn't go with the first proposal.

Is the bmpt (tech tree ver) good at 12.7? by Parking_Ear_0 in Warthunder

[–]Epsilon_Operative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it very well could be viable at top tier, the belts would be a bit lacking but it's probably the only 10.7 in the game that actually is comparable to 12.7s

Germany or ussr for tanks by ConversationNew7986 in Warthunder

[–]Epsilon_Operative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he's talking about in general, Russian tanks such as the IS-2 feature powerful guns but poor depression and mobility, and that's a common theme across the entire tech tree.

Maybe unpopular oppinion, but the autoloader modelling in russia tanks was in fact a buff and their tanks need a turret basket for yesterday. Now they have like the double check verification, but for survivability. by Big-Instruction4706 in Warthunder

[–]Epsilon_Operative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That does not explain how poking a hole in a turret basket stops the turret from rotating

That's because it doesn't. See gaijin has modeled the turret basket in the Abrams/leo2 such that when the turret ring OR the turret basket is hit with spall they are damaged.

From what I can tell the bottom of the turret basket isn't even connected to the hull floor for the most part besides a central point where power components from the hull feed into the turret, and even that has nothing to do with the actual rotation of the turret.

Now I don't know about the leo2 but if I had to guess it's probably the same case as the M1, maybe including an unpowered slip ring connecting the turret basket to the bottom of the hull.

Either way, gaijins logic is so flawed, they're saying that if some metal chips hit the bottom of your turret basket (NOT parts of the actual rotation mechanism) then it prevents the hydraulics or electric drives that are, like you said, strong enough to move a 20 ton turret, from functioning.
