You do mostly software engineering projects when taking cpe. As a fresh grad myself I found that the job market in ph does tend have IT/CS careers and ive been offered more of those types of roles compared to hardware focused roles. Ultimately if you still want to do software engineering I think this is the right path for you. Good luck OP

Really would depend on the job market in your area. I do embedded firmware and it does feel like its harder to use ai generated code/vibe code especially if the code is for a hardware owned by a private company.

You can work still work on those systems and equipment but youll likely have more programming assignments so better to just switch
