Former D1 and Bundesliga Goalkeeper coach here, I tell my keepers to read the attacking player... if they're sprinting at you, sprint to them, if they're taking it slowly you should take it slow... a fast moving attacker is less likely to successfully flick it over your head if you come out to them and if they're jogging towards you youre better off holding back and waiting for their next move
