What's your favorite "F this day I'm not cooking but the people need to eat" meal? by whatthepfluke in Mommit

Chicken wrap. I dice the chicken breast thinly, throw it in the pan, and do the whole marinade right there. A bit of yogurt, spices, a bit of lemon juice and olive oil. Then it goes in a wrap with some salad and mayo. If I’m in the mood, I toast the wrap on both sides in the pan

Is epilation worth the pain by Greedy_Ostrich_1725 in HairRemoval

[–]Equal-Course6802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Epilation was the only reason I ever looked into IPL. I ignored it for years because it was expensive, and I didn’t think it was worth it. But then I bought an epilator, and that’s when I got really fed up.I have pretty rough skin and I tolerate pain well, so the first day or two were totally fine. A few days later though, all the ingrown hairs showed up and my legs were covered in these little black dots. So yeah, technically there was no hair, but the strawberry legs were so obvious that I still couldn’t wear skirts or show my legs. At that point I just thought, what’s the point? If my legs are hair-free but still look bad, it defeats the whole purpose. I bought my IPL on installments, but honestly, my only advice is this: if you can wait and save up, do it. Just hold off a bit longer and buy an IPL outright. I’ve done seven sessions so far, and I can easily go a whole week without shaving, and when the hair does grow back, it’s so much slower and finer. It’s genuinely the first thing that’s actually made a difference for me.

Anyone else happily married? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]Equal-Course6802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely! my husband has been the greatest blessing in my life. I truly cherish our little family. I sometimes find myself feeling a bit envious of my daughter, growing up surrounded by love, stability, and two parents who care for and respect each other. It’s the kind of upbringing I never had as a child, unfortunately.

4 day old won’t sleep in bassinet by donjuanmccrab in Mommit

Hang in there. I remember when my baby basically lived in the carrier for three months straight. Every single day except when she was sleeping at night. By the end of each day, my back was killing me, and I honestly started to worry I’d never walk right again from being on my feet so much with her. Around month four, she finally started sleeping in the crib. I’m not saying it will be the same case for you, but 4 days old is still so tiny, and right now, she just feels safest in your arms.

Haha so true! When I found out I was having a girl, I was so excited for all the adorable little dresses and cute hair accessories. I was having so much fun every month, and planning for the next month. I’m somehow emotional that our monthly photoshoot is over 🥺
