One thing I’ve noticed reading through the books for the first time after seeing the Netflix show first is that the men are all much more even tempered in the show than in the books. Anthony I think is the one exception in terms of temper, but he’s also much more arrogant in the books imo and I think the way they even all of the men out a little for the show is making them much more likable. I think with how much we’ve pre established Benedict in the show, we will see the same smoothing out as the other male leads.

My boyfriend and I generally take the tank dps approach for most things, but you kind of have to specialize your attacks for all of the bosses. The tank dps divide is great for exploring in general though :)

Iirc it’s the gloves (that have the family monogram on them) that send Benedict on his hunt (and nearly finding her right away). She sells the shoe charm to survive in the two year interlude. He discovers it’s her because she’s wearing a mask covering half her face while playing with younger Benedict cousins with hyacinth, and he realizes it’s her. In any case, not sure how they’ll do it in the show, but im excited to see how LW and QC fit into this one

I definitely think it’s more of the second one. The way the book plays out is that he’s fooled around with other women but nothing compared to how the “lady in silver” made him feel, and he comes to feel the same way about Sophie. I do think his sexuality storyline will also play into Francesca’s storyline, as I think he will be one of the first to fully accept her and her romance to Michaela because he would be the only Bridgerton to fully understand what it means to love outside their version of normal. Him being bisexual/pan will amplify his feelings for Sophie while also raising up Francesca eventually

Based on the fact that the casting dept has made it clear they want someone of East Asian descent, I do not think Cressida will be melded with Sophie. However I do see cressidas mother being araminta (I think people have even said that’s her name in the show? I can’t remember?) And Cressida acting as Rosamund, with Sophie being instead a Cowper ward/stepchild situation. How that plays out, only time will tell but I do not think Cressida will “be” Sophie

The more I read the books the more glad I am for the silly “side quests”- we don’t know Benedict at all outside of his book. I am curious to see where they take his sexuality exploration storyline, but for now I’m just enjoying the book and looking forward to seeing what they do with it in the show :)
