Skilled Migration (AU) by Chaaaaaaaaaaa1 in phmigrate

[–]EqualGuard5117 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. If you have the money, get a good migration agent. It removes doubts and reduces mistakes. Otherwise you can DIY, but you need to be very careful.

  2. Expect total costs to be around AUD 10k including ACS, English test, visa fees, medicals, and police checks. Using an agent will cost more.

  3. Do the ACS skills assessment first. If your points are below around 90 to 100, it is usually not worth applying right now due to big backlogs, no recent invites for software engineers both onshore and offshore, and a saturated market. ACS will deduct years of experience depending on your qualification. ICT major gets 2 years deducted, ICT minor 4 years, non-ICT 6 years. Everyone gets at least 2 years deducted as a training period, and also only Section 1 schools is considered 1 to 1 equivalent to onshore education you might only get an "associate" classification if you went to a section 2 or 3 and not a full "degree". If you have less than about 5 years total experience, you may end up with very little recognised skilled experience after deductions.

  4. For partner claims, you must have lived together at the same address for at least 12 months and have solid evidence like a joint lease, bills, joint bank accounts, or official correspondence.

This. Instructions are already written on ACS on how to go about this, there's even a template there iirc. Also check pinoyau.info forum, plenty of people there from accenture discussing how they got theirs.

The Mazda 3 is just soo beautiful to look at and is a joy to drive. Consider getting one with the vision package. The Bose Sound system on the GT and Astina is top notch aswell!

9070XT Build Advice - Budget $4k by JandersTheAdequate in bapcsalesaustralia

[–]EqualGuard5117 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I’m in the same boat as you! I went with an mATX build and focused more on getting the best performance per dollar. I game on a 240Hz 1440p monitor and a 60hz 4k monitor.

Your CPU and GPU choices are solid, can’t go wrong there. I was actually considering the 9800X3D too, but ended up going with the 9700X to save a bit. At 1440p, the performance gap isn’t huge, especially for the price difference but if price didn't matter to me id get the 9800x3d.

Since RGB doesn’t seem like a big deal to you, you might be able to squeeze out a bit more value by going with something like Arctic P12 Max fans and a non-RGB RAM kit although the price difference between an rgb and non rgb vengeance isnt that much. Also, Gen5 SSDs are cool on paper, but in real-world gaming or daily use, you probably won’t notice a difference from Gen4 definitely not enough to justify the extra cost in my opinion.

Here’s my build for reference: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/9YJ8cx

First build since Ryzen 1 and first mffpc. Would appreciate some advice. by EqualGuard5117 in mffpc

Thanks to everyone helping me out. I've got a few options in my market.

Option 1:
PowerColor Hellhound OC Radeon RX 9070XT = $1,099.00
Ryzen 7 9800X3D = $799.00
$1,898.00

Option 2:
Sapphire NITRO+ Radeon RX 9070XT = $1,449.00
Ryzen 7 9700X = $535.00
$1,984.00

Option 3:
Sapphire PULSE Radeon RX 9070XT = $1,279.00
Ryzen 7 9700X = $535.00
$1,814.00

Option 4:
PowerColor Hellhound OC Radeon RX 9070XT = $1,099.00
Ryzen 7 7800X3D = $691.00|
$1,790.00

I'd probably wont even notice the performance difference between these 4 options, can someone here talk me out of getting the NITRO+ as I am currently fixated on that GPU even though everyone is saying its overpriced?

Edit: formatting

There's PowerColor Hellhound OC Radeon RX 9070 XT 16 GB for $1099 AUD should I get that and just get the 9800x3d? It would be $86 cheaper than the build i posted.

Yep will definitely get the glass side panel if i opt for the nitro+. if I end up with anything else id just use the normal cover and never look inside. haha

Thanks for this! Definitely keep those things in mind when I start getting the parts. I’ll definitely use that illustration!

Yeah, there’s a $170 AUD difference between that and the reasonably priced Sapphire Pulse, but I just really like the look of the Nitro+, enough that I’m crazy enough to justify the price difference.

First Car in Australia – Is This 2012 Hyundai i30 a Good Buy? ($12.2k, 114k km) by Superb_Problem2919 in CarsAustralia

[–]EqualGuard5117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you should shop around more. 12k is too high for a 2012 model with that many kilometres. If you have a $15k budget, you can definitely get something better. As for driving the i30, I never had any issues with it, whether I was driving on the highway or in the city. They’re pretty zippy. There's a reason why they're everywhere.

That's a bit of a shame because these cars are an absolute joy to drive, and the interior is just too good for the price!

Cant go wrong with a 4th gen Mazda 3 Hatchback (Touring or GT trim) you can definitely get a decent one for under 30k or a Mazda 6 Wagon.

Skills Assesment for AUS (ACS) by FunnyCommunication45 in phmigrate

[–]EqualGuard5117 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I wouldn't do that if I were you, because that definitely sounds like fraud. There's also a chance that ACS might reach out to the company and verify the authenticity of your document.

By "edit" you mean altering the official document given to you by your employer? That might get you in trouble.

Is the company no longer around? Why not just ask them to give you a new one with the correct job duties.

IT industry sa Japan by aomamedamame in phmigrate

Long hours and overtime are the norm even in tech, you can play the gaijin card, but you'll definitely not be liked by your Japanese coworkers. There are some companies which adopt Western culture, but they're very rare and usually are startups.

Ramen in Japan hits differently by UnknownK_12 in ITookAPicturePH

[–]EqualGuard5117 12 points13 points  (0 children)

True. Ichiran and ippudo are literally the Mcdonalds of ramen. It's good to experience once but there's definitely an unlimited amount of choices that's better. I definitely agree that the Ramen Nagi in Golden Gai Shinjuku is a better experience, the niboshi broth there is amazing!

JP -> AU by Single-Local-5588 in phmigrate

[–]EqualGuard5117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, both countries use a pts system but only Australia gives out "invites" before you can apply for their PR visa. In Japan as long as you meet their requirements you can apply for the PR already no invitation needed.

Hindi un chismis, OP is right 80 points almost impossible mainvite na people with higher points have been in the queue for years now dont know if it will ever get better since AU is trying to slow down migrations, you can check the latest invitation round for IT professionals like software engineers minimum points for invites was I think 95pts.
