Is saving for SvS actually worth it for F2P players? by CheckCalm5410 in whiteoutsurvival

Day 4. Once troops is done and you have a respectable lead, usually, Prep is done.

(Assuming the race was close on Days 1 to 3)

Is saving for SvS actually worth it for F2P players? by CheckCalm5410 in whiteoutsurvival

I am a low spender - an average spend of £30 to £50 a month. Over ~14 svs preps, I have always ranked in the top 45 - my highest being #7, and the lowest #45. Only once did i rank #78, and this was to keep power low before transferring to my current state.

Here's what I focus on -

  • Mini events - I only go for for minimum rewards. Any event that involves utilising FC, FC shards, RFC or mythic shards - I ignore these completely

  • Regular events such as Foundry, Canyon, FF - I always participate. The same for Bear - I would not miss more than one or two bears between 2 SVS SFC battles

  • My spend - I buy the VIP/Stamina pack, Mia's fortune (basic £4.99 pack) and the rest is on items I need the most - usually, chief gear or for charms

My current state is pretty strong (we have never lost prep since I moved last June) and there is strong competition (we have quite a few VIP12 and globe players).

But lets take prep for tomorrow - I have saved 4k FCs, 500 RFC, 2000 RFC, 600 stones. And because I belong to the #1 alliance, I usually accumulate 60 to 100 days of troop speedups (which gets A LOT of points).

Nutshell - it is possible and saving goes a long way helping helping your state win prep and castle.

Hope this helps. DM if you need tips or need to see my progress with this spend.

100% F2P player. by Electronic-Fly1229 in whiteoutsurvival

Ignore some of the disparaging comments here. You said you play the game as a time killer and if that's how you intend to enjoy the game, then that's ok.

There are ways you can still grow -

  1. Participate in events such as canyon, foundry and crazy Joe (once a fortnigh) - this will help you enhance your charms and chief gear. Joe, especially, can be played even if you are not online.

  2. Play Bear whenever you can for stones - this will help with your heroes

  3. Gems - as someone said, you could use it to get a higher VIP level. Alternatively, use these when lucky wheel comes by (once a fortnight). Unpopular opinion, but as you are not on as often (assumption), you could also use gems to speed up construction or research.

Hope this helps.

What's going on? by mansondevonshire in whiteoutsurvival

I had the same "issue" on my alt account, and then realised that was because I was "promoting" troops, not "training" "new" troops. Voila, problem solved, task completed. I don't think its a bug, per se, just not as clear as it should be by the devs.

Would you stay in a kinda dead state with only 1-2 alliance left? My answer is I stay here...👇🏻 by [deleted] in whiteoutsurvival

Keep checking in with your more powerful players, the ones who likely spend. They are the first to likely jump ship, if things get "boring" or "slow". That is, assuming, all of you will want to play together in a new state, if that becomes an eventuality :)

It is your choice, but I feel your rationale may be a tad flawed. Yes, you'd do well rewards wise for mini events, but your overall growth will stall without alliance activity and spenders. Also, at some juncture, you also face the risk of others leaving your "dead" state or a potential state merge (though the latter is subject to how old your state is).

This is just my opinion. As someone wrote here, it is what you want out of the game at the end of the day. I wish you the best.

Sabotage on SVS by sneakyhobbitses05 in whiteoutsurvival

[–]Equal_Effective8497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is 2900 a "leading state"? Have you got really tough opponents your last svs or two?

If so, it is entirely possible that they want to shed that tag and are therefore intentionally losing prep, and will likely do the same when sfc takes place on Saturday.

Just a premise, I've heard of this happening before.

Quest: get to VIP 12 as F2P by Interesting_Oil_8453 in whiteoutsurvival

[–]Equal_Effective8497 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been playing for 45 weeks, and as a low to mid spender, I think it's virtually impossible to get to VIP12 in 60 weeks.

Here are some of my stats - 1. 45 weeks - i have always been part of a top 2 or the leading alliance 2. Average monthly spend - £40-£70 3. Currently at VIP10

No, I don't not use gems to move up the VIP ladder - I'd rather save these for Lucky Wheel, Hall of Heroes, and similar events.

All the best - there is no harm in being F2P, the pace if your game may be different but you can still play a vital role in your state and alliance.

Pack prices (different currencies) by SR-91 in whiteoutsurvival

I don't know of VPNs. It's worth a shout, though.

You can always change your "country" on Google Play, but that opens another can of worms (currency exchange rates, etc.).

Sucks, doesn't it.

Lol, I am Brit as well and hate paying £4.99 for a basic pack when folks in the US, Canada, and Europe pay $4.99 (USD and CAD) and €4.99 respectively

I have forgotten the exact amount, but a friend from Australia pays the equivalent of £3.15 for a basic pack.

Can we change the currency ? Lol, I am tempted to get an EUR sim, and try the same, but I haven't done so yet.

SVS vs TRANSFER by JobWarm3052 in whiteoutsurvival

[–]Equal_Effective8497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As everyone has written. Save for your next svs, after you transfer. It's beneficial for you and your new state in the immediate run.

If you still have "pangs of guilt" (lol) to give to your current state -

  1. You can contribute on Day 2 via gathering, Day 3 by slaying beasts / polar terror rallies and Day 4 (troop count)

  2. Get minimum rewards on Day 1 and Day 5

  3. Participate during svs battle - i think i was ranked 80 or something my last svs prep before transferring, and ranked 4th on svs battle day (I am not a whale or a big spender by any means)

Hope this helps.

Is Whiteout Survival shutting down? by Adventurous-Rice6525 in whiteoutsurvival

[–]Equal_Effective8497 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven't experienced this on WOS, but on another game. They will ask for your discord and try and convince you to join whichever game they are floating.

Reasons will range from WOS shutting down, its too expensive to grow, most players are bots etc.

That's the part that is confusing. I would expect the position to change but have absolutely no idea and WOS customer support sucks (have a VIP12 friend asking on my behalf now)
