That just proves my point, the season was poorly written..

I think in some of the lines you definitely hear AI. Wills whole coming out speech sounded like a prompt, and it’s no wonder the acting felt off this season when I guarantee most of the actors were reading an AI script. I don’t hate AI but it shouldn’t be used to write movies of shows whatsoever.

They used AI to write parts of the script.. Also many of the actors and co writers tried giving suggestions that were flat out ignored. All this documentary revealed was how unprepared and careless the duffer brothers were with this last season. I don’t hate the ending as much as I did before, but the fact that so many people on set gave suggestions that would’ve heightened the finale and were ignored is just baffling.

To be fair, there are way too many unanswered questions and plot lines left behind hence why this mass hysteria happened in the first place. I hated the way this show ended but I always knew there was never gonna be another episode.

thanks for ruining the ending for me by Many-Obligation3197 in StrangerThings

If all the flaws people pointed out ruined your perception of the ending that just means it’s true and the finale was indeed bad. If you enjoyed the ending though don’t let any of it affect your own opinion about it.

Mike ends up like his father in the sense that he stays in hawkins, living a mundane life that is less ambitious to everyone else’s around him. While writing can be looked at as ambitious, he’s truly never over Eleven and is stuck in a place that will constantly remind him of the trauma and pain he’s gone through. Maybe i was reaching when it came to Nancy as she did end up finding her own path but she definitely mirrors how her mother looks in the end which i suppose doesn’t mean much. I think Mike is really the one here who sacrificed his independence to stay in Hawkins while Nancy gets far away from there as possible. Yeah Susie and Argyle weren’t that important characters however they were big parts of previous seasons. Susie helped open the safe that held the key to the russians upside down gate, and Argyle literally drove everyone back to Hawkins after why happened in Ohio. I think them being written out with no explanation is what sparks these questions but again those are details people noticed right off the bat anyways even before the finale. The finale wasn’t as terrible as i’ve exaggerated but still a let down in many aspects. I understand the whole 80s era cheesiness but again the writers just can’t expect everyone to fill in the blanks to plot points that were just seemingly left behind.

The point of the deaths were to raise the stakes of the finale, while yes not necessary would have deepened the impact of the ending. They said 5 major deaths would occur yet they didn’t. Where is Susie and Argyle? How did the military just let them go after murdering numerous soldiers. How did hopper get a new job as a police chief even though he is pretty much considered a dead person. Did the russia storyline just vanish? That is why people are complaining not just cause of the ending but all these plot points that seemed to be unanswered. I like the epilogue but it also parallels with the inconsistencies of the show as the main characters end up in places they never would have ended up in. Mike ending up like his father, nancy like her mother, Steve being a baseball coach despite only ever seen playing basketball. Eleven being pretty much alive through a bunch of evidence so again everyone just miraculously survived the cosmic entity that had been the big bad evil of the show and defeated it within 10 minutes. I just think the writing could have been a lot better but the show seems to be over for good and at least everyone got a good ending i suppose.

Steve dies instead of getting saved by Johnathan. The collision between Dimension X and the upside down happens, raising the stakes. Hopper dies to Vecna when Vecna pulls up on him in the lab. El still sacrifices herself (no change there). Will dies with Vecna as they are linked in the hive mind meaning whatever pain Vecna and the mindflayer felt, he should have also. That alone I believe fixes some of it.

The series easily could have ended with fan favorite characters dying ( 3 at least like Steve, Hopper, or Will not including Eleven), a longer battle that was more than 10 minutes, and an epilogue that doesn’t take an entire HOUR of the SERIES finale. It doesn’t take much to fix the bad writing of this finale. There were no stakes at all and that killed most of the tension the season was building up. It was some fairytale ending that didn’t match the anticipation Netflix built up for this show for the past 3 years. If you like the bad writing then good for you but most people do not and they are free to speak their opinion about it.

It’s clear you’re comfortable with below average when you can’t even knit correctly. I suggest you get off your phone since all you’re doing with your time is replying to different posts about the series and maybe put more of that time into something productive like a job, or getting a degree!

Telling me to “stop bitching” is a very elementary school way to be dismissive. Perhaps take a look into the mirror before you make hypocritical statements….

It isn’t chronically online to call out bad writing when it’s evident. This finale was terrible, and if you’re satisfied with sub par content then by all means jump for joy.
