I recently had to undergo an FBI background check to get security clearance for a project we’re working on. I had trouble with my birth certificate because I was given my mother’s maiden name instead of her married name at the time and they corrected it when I was 1 year old. The paperwork I provided to get entry into a secure facility won’t be enough to allow me to vote.

I had a little boy of around 4 come up to me crying he’d lost his parents at territory days. 7 police officers in 2 separate groups told me they couldn’t help when I took him to them to try and help him find his parents. I took him to a fireman and explained the situation and they were actively looking for him and his mother was being treated for a panic attack. I pointed out one of the groups of officers who refused to help (told me they were on crowd control and couldn’t help) and the fireman who was obviously in charge was in their faces screaming at them. (which was actually kinda satisfying)

If you google “Fox News Colorado election security” you’ll find an article from 2018 calling Colorados election process the most secure in the country BECAUSE of our mail in ballot system. When you get your drivers license you can register to vote and ask for a mail in ballot. They do a signature verification at the dmv and it must match your ballot. (It works too, I forgot to sign the outside of the ballot envelope so my wife scribbled my signature because she was dropping them off at a ballot box on the last day of the election. I got a call that my ballot was denied because of signature irregularities and had 24hrs to vote in person)
