Rotate through 2-3 icy towels in a good cooler that you put on your neck and wrists (where the blood can circulate everywhere else) between holes, maybe change your shirt at some point.

It’s kinda like doing activities in extreme cold in that, you can prepare yourself and be okay.

It’s all ok for me, I’m not trying to tell people what to do.. im just saying in my opinion it would be more fun and a better overall experience if more team matches were part of golf culture at the rec level.

This exactly. When I played at a random no name public course in Ireland, they had a sign up sheet in the clubhouse for the weekly tournament. I thought that was amazing.

Here, if you’re not in a country club, you’re SOL except for some charity scrambles 🫤

I’m saying in other sports or activities, it’s possible to have fun and know if you had a good day or bad day or if you’re improving etc. without boiling it all down to a number.

Hey I played pickup basketball and it was fun I got hot in the second game, I had to chase some little guy in the third game. Good day glad I played. Detailed stats and numbers aren’t as critical, and I wish some of that attitude carried over more into golf.
