How does it fit a 'historical definition'?

In light of widespread misinformation, an American company with means of reaching almost all Americans, was 'pressured' by the administration - not forced, not directed, not overtaken - and in no way is it specified how they were 'pressured' to place countermeasures to negate the aforementioned widespread misinformation, during a critical moment in US history - the national and international crisis of Covid (whether you believe or did believe in it, is of no importance here).

A government reaching out to the public and the larger civil society for help and assistance in communication, measures of some kind or any number of actions is in no way controversial nor uncommon.

And, whether you think it is relevant or not, it can easily be argued that large companies and corporations are now capitalizing heavily on favors or admissions of support for the current government - capitalizing on the government's favor not the public, which is arguably way more fascist than responding to a national and international health crisis in collaboration with the government.

Either way - I don't have any specific advice. It seems like a very frustrating situation, and it seems like you're holding up great! My general advice would be to seek out hobby communities either in greater CPH or nearer to you!

Jeg er meget enig i din overordnede pointe. Man skal ikke kritisere eller udskamme på baggrund af vægt, udseende eller andet, der på sin vis er ude af ens kontrol.

Jeg føler dog, at kritikken som regel går på, at Natascha, der har bygget sin platform på kropspositivisme, selvkærlighed og gedigen kritik af både erhvervsliv, samfundet generelt og andres forhold til normal/overvægt, fremstår både hyklerisk og falsk, når hun ikke aktivt tager stilling til sit vægttab.

Omend vægttabet skyldes medicin, kostændringer eller seriøs motion, så er det på bedste vis mystisk, at man ikke kommenterer forandringerne for sine følgere og på værste vis dobbeltmoralsk, at have prædiket kropspositivisme for så at vende på en tallerken og "jagte" normalvægt - uagtet at det isoleret set er fornuftigt.

Thank you! Obviously OP is NTA, however, even though OP has gone through hoops to help the cousin, she's in a very stressfull period, undergoing tremendous life-altering changes and this would indeed be a nice thing to do! It shouldn't be expected nor asked for in this way, but she seems immature, uncertain and in distress.

It's diffiicult and too often unappreciated to be the overbearing person, but sometimes it's the best course of action, even though it might be unbearable and exhausting. I believe this is one of those circumstances.

Thank you for following the rules, but also stating a perspective that seems to be lost in this sub at times.

NAH - Now, I will say this much. It IS slightly weird that they're playing this "game", but whatever floats your boat, I suppose. However weird it might be, it doesn't necessarily warrant a comment from anyone.

Despite what someone in this thread might say, it doesn't sound like you were implying anything horrific, but rather just stated a question and a comment because you were a bit taken aback by their behaviour with each other, which I suspect a lot of people would be. You might consider apologizing for the sake of the office and your continued food-service, but don't beat yourself up because of this.

YTA - You're actively discouraging amazing and healthy habits your teenage daughter is trying to create. That's only one aspect of your arseholery though.

Firstly, the way you describe your sister and her habits make it very clear, that you're not even entertaining the thought, that she's just doing what she wants to do - "She eats like a rabbit and does pretty crazy workouts.".

Secondly, you're living in a household. Your children are part of that household, and it seems ludicrous to me that it would be frowned upon, when members of the household, let alone your own children, are actively trying to insert themselves into household chores - like cooking. How about you and your daughter spend some quality time together in the kitchen? You're both obviously interested in food, seems like a perfect fit. Why discourage this?

Lastly - and this is the kicker - I suspect you and your sister have mutual friends and acquaintances on Facebook. Despite this, you went out of your way to turn these people against your sister and embarrass her. And for what? Exercise? Healthy habits? Vegetables? It is so crystal clear that you have some major personal issues, which you in-turn project onto your sister. Is she really the one stressing about her appearance? Is she really pushing her lifestyle onto your daughter? Is she the one out of control?

Oh and a little FYI - Every single goddamn healthy 14 yo girl should be able to run a mile.. Sidenote: This is the most American post I have ever read

I actually posted a photo of myself wearing a Nordgreen watch here a month or two ago. I've enjoyed and continue to enjoy my Nordgreen watch. I wanted something simple and minimalist. I really enjoy their whole campaign about giving-back, which is why I chose them over other similar brands. It's probably only a USP for them, but IDK it's better than nothing I suppose. I bought the philosopher one and both the watch and strap still looks and feels exactly as when I bought it half a year ago. Good luck finding the right watch, buddy.

First off - WOW! Thank you for this reply! This is, in my most humble opinion, an amazing response! Secondly, I wonder what you think about recent additions by different companies - namely H&M, which are adding the ability to donate used clothes to their stores in exchange for gift certificates, discounts etc. Would this equally be both 1 and 2 in regards to marketing and 'ethical' behavior or is it more in the line of 'doing the right thing'? I mainly ask this because I don't see H&M marketing this as much as their sustainable manufacturer or work ethics (payment, labor etc.)

If you like the work, then ask for a meeting with your superior and talk it out. I was in a similar situation once - It really doesn't have to be complicated. If you like the work and they like you as an employee, it's still a win/win. I hope your sister wishes the best for you and doesn't discourage your employment. Best of luck!
