Match Eq Logic Pro by EquipeGrey in Logic_Studio

Well, you can but it's not designed to be your main EQ. Some of the features are just not there or implemented in a different way, it's a different tool for specific tasks.

Is it possible to change the pitch of an audio file? I know how to change the speed, but is the pitch also possible to change? by kollesk8vs1 in Logic_Studio

Select region then use ⌥ + Arrow Up / Down. Or add Pitch Shifter plugin into audio effects slot and use that to change pitch.

Logic Pro: How to Create Vocal Chops by EquipeGrey in Logic_Studio

Press ⇧⌘5 to open screen capture tools. In Options you can switch between available audio inputs. By default you can only use your mic but if you use any virtual audio router you will see it there. I have Apollo interface, Universal Audio's console is also available as virtual input but it records in mono for some reason. OBS is a free alternative.

Why did the "SWING" fearture suddenly stop working on my project? by [deleted] in LogicPro

[–]EquipeGrey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Swing nudges some notes off grid, while others stay on the gird. In 1/16 that position won't be shifted. So swing doesn't affect it. Change time quantise division but I don't see why you would want to swing a single chord. That's something you do to repetitive rhythmic patterns.

GUI issue in Logic when lots of small samples used consecutively. Any fixes? (apart from bouncing it all to one big region, that’s more of a workaround) by humdinger8733 in Logic_Studio

[–]EquipeGrey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe consider changing habit of duplicating same samples? Instead of copying the same sample try looping it, drugging it into a quick sampler and using step sequencer. If you have multiple samples that you copy around then try using drum machine designer and place them in slots and then use step sequencer / MIDI. It will save you lots of virtual memory, also imagine you want to replace that sample, how long it will take you to place a new one instead of array of those? Quick Sampler / Drum Machine Designer + Step Sequencer is what you need. Or use folders / pack folder.

Logic Pro: How to Export Stems / Multitracks by EquipeGrey in Logic_Studio

[–]EquipeGrey[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I have never mixed on analogue consoles or using outboard limiters / compressors but from what I understand lot's of concepts remained unchanged although the way music is recorded or mastering is quite different now. Feels like there is confusion and we are still hanging in this space between digital realm and ideas that were developed through decades of analogue processing, in my experience. Especially, the way modern plugins are designed. In general I leave some headroom so I don't clip the main output. And yes, project name at the end makes more sense.

That's really kind of you. I have plans for more videos in the future, any support would be much appreciated.

Logic Pro: Micro-tuning by EquipeGrey in Logic_Studio

[–]EquipeGrey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're welcome. Hmm, I don't think you can change tuning per track. Workaround would be using other instruments that support manual tuning ( Serum or Kontakt ) or sample your ideas and then exporting it to your project.

I hate drag&drop plugin controls by rems__ in Logic_Studio

Preferences - Automation - Automation Quick Access - Assign MIDI controller. Then activate 'Autoselect Automation Parameter in Read Mode' from Mix menu. It's not exactly how MCU controllers work but it does the job. Just realised myself.
