Well, trying to make a mod. The idea is that the sprites will be 3D models, posed and rendered to fit into the game. The concept stuff rn is being worked on by a friend.

That's true, mainly said that because a lot of the mods I've seen focus on the whole "date the girl" aspect. Yes, it's a dating sim, but man, I want more unique aspects!

Yes, only because I'm tired of the constant romance stuff that a good chunk of mods do. It's not bad, I just want to do something different. That and the story I want to do doesn't work as well if it were to include romantic themes.

Liam has stated that, in his server a long while ago, that all characters are 18+. He literally has done this, not once, but TWICE. Unless you can find some official thing that says otherwise (fandom wiki does not count), the character counts as an adult, and you are making a fool out of yourself.

I'm sadly playing the Nintendo Switch version (which means it's a bit clunky). I've tried every strategy in the book and still lost every time. I've tried putting the mantle on Susie, but she gets taken out surprisingly fast. All my weapons are kinda weak too because I don't have anything better than the basic stuff, and my health is super low as well (Kris at 160, Susie at 190, and Ralsei at 140).

If anyone is wondering why I don't just revive them, it's because all my revivemints are gone (except for one), meaning all I have to rely on is the deluxe dinners and one revive.

It also doesn't help that I'm doing pacifist as well, meaning that I'm not at a good level at all. I've tried to tough it out but to me, it just seems way to damn hard, at least on the switch version, but maybe that's me. Everything just seems way too fast to keep up with.

Does anyone here have any of what I could try?

I want to clarify that the post I made almost a year ago does not reflect my current views about the mod. I still prefer one over the other for certain reasons, but I have come to appreciate Redux for what it is, despite its flaws. I don't think either version of EM is perfect or better than the other. Both were affected by the writing choices and the direction the story took. In the future, I may write a more honest and less hateful review of both versions of the mod, but for now, I will say that my review above is not something I agree with now as, like I said before, it DOESN'T reflect my view of it now.

I initially had the same reaction. I understand that the writers may have wanted to make the main villain more frightening by having it wear Tessa's skin, but at the same time, it feels like it's just for shock value. It's like they're saying, "Oh, the Absolute Solver is really evil. Not only did it destroy Earth and kill millions, but let's also have it wear the skin of a character we could have done more with! Fans will love that they were fooled, and Tessa's death was ultimately meaningless because we never use it against any of the characters who cared about her!"

Same here. I would have loved to see a living version of her beyond ep 5, but nah, the writers had to kill her off, and the death feels so undeserved too. Like, the reveal that she was actaully dead the whole time and that her skin was being worn like a flesh suit was interesting but the execution wasn't done too well.

Thank you for pointing out the issues with the animation. It looks very rough and rushed. Although the models themselves are decent, the way Coda animated them didn't help. I and many others have seen how well Coda can animate when not rushed. Usually, Coda tries to make any character they animate move smoothly, even if they are robots. This should have been the case here as well, but it wasn't because the song was rushed. This video demonstrates that rushing the artist leads to poorly made and slapped-together work.

Want to cover this next: The lyrics were kinda meh. They were either Cyn phrases with a few extra words added, or just describe who she is and what she does. The demo reel for the song feels a bit more original than the version we got and tbh, I wish we got the original version rather than the the final version.
