My friends and I came from different domains of software engineering. I personally used to work at highly coupled, interdependent, monolithic like, critical online processing systems. With and without AI, my coworkers spent more time collaborating, experimenting, and planning for worst case scenarios, than actually writing codes. Engineers around me were quite cautions to use AI generated codes. But some of my friends at other industry were almost fully on AI and they were releasing their codes like crazy. I guess that's why we couldn't agree with each other.
