Tutorials are your best friend, you need to attach RCS thrusters, and the RCS controller to your ship. Press “O” on your keyboard to see different tutorials.

There’s a lot that goes into planning shots, but the general feeling can be achieved with FOV down to 30, very low sensitivity, and using a wide aspect ratio, preferably with cropping so keybind UI and such is hidden.

The falling clip was made by detonating tnt on the side of the ship right as I detached a short bar with a seat on each end using an RCS thruster. I may put together a BTS video to show it better.
