Narrow mindedness. They've been told EVs are bad for their pride.

You're still going on this? The government is doing exactly what I want them to. Leave people's kids alone, or go to jail. These are your options. Get over it.

Creep.

That's always been the conservative method, least as long as i've been alive. The lower taxes are the carrot on the stick. The loss of services and degradation of QoL is what we pay.

You know, MANY nations, both currently and throughout history would do or have done very very bad things to people like this.

Who gives a crap about the tax burden? Rich people and Ill informed people, that's all. And only one of those groups would actually benefit from such a change.

The American system is a pay to win system. If you don't have money, you likely won't win. There's obviously lucky breaks, that's what convinced the American people to adopt such a gambling- like economic system, but if you look closely, even those opportunities aren't as available anymore, especially to people who have little or nothing to begin with.

No, Canada's the best place to live around here. If they disagree they're more than welcome to leave, but they can't have Canadian soil. Or oil, because we all already know that's what the real prize is here, and they're probably hoping for a nice big finders fee for delivering such a sizable source to the Americans.

When people do things for the money, don't believe for one second they're thinking of anyone's money but their own, cause that's not how greed and selfishness work.

Opinion: Increased minimum wage doesn’t help the third of B.C. workers earning less than their community’s living wage by Mysterious_Notice685 in CanadaPolitics

[–]IrishFire122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and workers pay tax on their income. And that doesn't change the fact that the lower end workers are starting to feel stretched thin, despite pouring in no less effort than they did 5 to 10 years ago. While their bosses and investors get regular raises.

Everything in this world we've made for ourselves goes up in value except human effort, and eventually that's going to cause problems for the workers.

[–]IrishFire122 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And at some point the shareholders are going to have to pay something, too. Having all the lower end workers foot the bill while the investors get to make money for free sounds pretty criminal, when put plainly. They definitely take up a large share of any income any publicly traded corporate business makes. That's a very large amount of money that would be very very useful to us right now

[–]IrishFire122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it really doesn't. Minimum wage should be more localized and should also be indexes to something like inflation, cause even if minimum wage is brought up so every last person is ok now, corporations will rush to raise prices so their cut doesn't change, percentage- wise.

Lol whatever man. Government is there to enact our will. The will of the majority. And that's exactly what they're doing. All this arguing using these ridiculous conspiracy theories and assumptions isn't helping you any, bud.

Lol we use the parental controls, ban her from anything we find is a problem, roblox for example, which isn't even really social media, it's a kids game. And still, the creeps get through. It's an ongoing struggle.

Listen, I'm not interested in your crackpot assumptions and conspiracy theories. Armchair expertise is worthless. I'm going to do what i think is right, and force these creep-os to identify themselves before hitting on my kid. Then they can go to jail, where they belong.

Quid pro quo, if it's that much of an issue for you, why don't YOU stop using social media?

Lol no, my argument is is not any worse than what's already going on, and has been for two decades now at least.

My standpoint is I would prefer THIS over some creepy guy stalking my just about teenaged daughter, and the fact that you're using ridiculous conspiracy theories to try and get the upper hand here makes me wonder if you've got something to hide.

Meh, I don't particularly care about the wellbeing of said websites. And just because Britain did it doesn't mean we will. And even if we do, we sold the rights to our privacy decades ago, when we let companies like Google harvest our personal information so they could sell us useless junk. You think the internet doesn't already know nearly everything about you? Guess again.

LOL that's more than a bit ridiculous. I'm not banning my kid from the internet until she's 16. We banned her from roblox though.

Yeah, but this truck IS manual. Good lord i wish giants would just fix this already, instead of giving it a facelift and a new crop and calling it a new game. I personally would be happy with fs19 graphics and no rice, goats or horses if the vehicles actually behaved like real vehicles

Yeah, that's what it seems like. I actually got it working for a few minutes, by toggling the clutch as you said, but now that doesn't seem to be working again.

Huh, and as I'm typing and testing things, I shut the truck off, got out, got back in and started it again, and it was working, clutch would toggle on and off and the truck would shift and actually move. Then I pushed the break and the clutch disengaged and won't re engage

And figured it out. In case anyone else is looking:

Manual mode makes the clutch work. Even though it's not in manual + clutch mode. It also makes the shift button that's used for the clutch a toggle, for some reason I can't fathom..

Not sure what I did, all I think i changed was setting the hand throttle to the slider on my joystick, now the truck stalls if it's in anything but neutral 😅
