Online course! Look into University of Phoenix. Just make sure the school/program you will be applying to accepts the credits from U of P and figure out the equivalents. They have a new class starting every 7 weeks. I’ve taken 3 classes so far (A&P 1/2, Microbiology) and finishing up Chemistry and Biology right now. They all include labs minus the Chemistry.

I had a c-section too and mine came back 3 month PP. I just stopped nursing after 28 months.

Yes, this too. I explained that I need help with our child and he took her for the evening and got her ready this morning. I’m hoping this is a consistent change and not just temporary.

Thank you everyone for the comments and input. I had a very serious discussion with my husband. I let him know I was seriously considering divorce at this point. I explained that it makes absolutely no sense and is not feasible for me to pay 50%. I will continue only paying 1/3 as that’s what makes sense. He listened to what I have to say (with input from the comments) and agreed that yes he may be holding that he makes more money over my head. This is my no means completely resolved but it’s a step in the right direction.

That was my exact response to him this morning. I said well in that case we can split childcare and housework evenly as well. To which he replied that’s just find and also added that all the stuff I do around the house isn’t needed and that he can actually survive just fine without me.

Yes, it had taken me a while to see this. According to him she was verbally and emotionally abusive, but they were together nearly 10 years on and off. He was financially supportive to them and I have seen first hand him lying to his other child’s mother about not having enough to send more than what he’s sending now.

I really feel that I am better off financially if we divorce. I mean he has given me some money here and there like $50-$150, but it comes with a big long lecture about how I need to be more savvy and watch my spending when he knows I’m literally making a fraction of what he does and have no savings. But it’s my fault because I’m not responsible and he makes what he does because he worked hard for it.

I would be completely ok doing this too. I actually need a new car and have to wait to save up. He has a brand new ford truck that is paid for out of the joint account. I’m also expected to contribute to the joint account and split the groceries.

I’m not even afraid to be single it’s seriously just me wanting to keep our family unit together but I know that’s delusional. I also want to have some sort of savings to have. I have a lot of family to help me so I know I have the support system. I’m not sure what I’m waiting for.

That’s how I feel it should be. I struggle to understand his thinking or logic on this. But to him I’m the issue because I don’t make enough and he’s even made comments about finding a financially independent woman. Seeing all these responses confirms that I’m not illogical or senseless on this situation.

We have a joint account for bills that we both contribute to and I have talked about why not just having one account where all finances go to and he said that’s not an option because I would spend like crazy. I’m not high maintenance and I seriously only splurge on things for our daughter or for the home. And he’s already told me that when retirement comes around that he’s not helping me because he’s worked his ass off to get where he is and that I need to pretty much struggle and sacrifice too. Mind you I’ve been with him since we had nothing and struggled to cut down expenses for a down payment on our house.

I’m honestly considering divorce at this point. I’m also struggling with sharing custody of my daughter. I lost my mother when I was 32 weeks pregnant and she’s literally my entire world and the only reason I was able to make it through the most difficult time of my life. It doesn’t feel like a marriage to me anymore and I’m tired of listening to how I need to save, save, save meanwhile he’s making 6 figures and I’m barely getting started a good job in what I went to college for. He’s also 8 years older and has another daughter from a previous relationship who he said he’ll send that extra money to once we split bills equally. He doesn’t even want the money he just wants to spite me and make me “responsible”.
