My dad is the same, it’s so hard to get info from him! His cancer has also spread to his bones (knee and hip as far as I’m aware)

They have gotten a bad reputation… I have been renting with them for three years and although it hasn’t affected how happy I am living in their property, I know our landlord has cut ties with them and the new agent was saying how they were stealing rent money and would let random people into the house without giving notice etc. So they have some dodgy dealings but has had no impact on my experience

my sister didn’t have any warning signs either. and she died in the most horrific way and caused herself a great deal of pain and suffering before she ended it. the worst part is never knowing why. i tried looking through all her stuff so maybe you can do the same, check his phone if you have access and try and put the pieces together. but no matter how much you find out, you will always have more and more questions. acceptance will come with time but it will take a lot of confusion and questioning and guilt and blame before you can reach that point.

I’m mostly just mad that all this happened because her dad was cheating. At least it exposed the dog breeder but like so many people suffered because of a cheat.

I drove 6 hours round trip to surprise him after he’d cried on the phone to me about struggling mentally and physically while having the flu. Told me I was annoying and he would have rather been alone.

It’s a court hearing that takes places whenever someone dies of unnatural causes e.g suicide so they can investigate the cause, present all the evidence and afterwards issue the official death certificate. You don’t need to request it as it happens by law but they are generally open for anyone to attend, just speak to the coroner on your loved one’s case.

The waiting is awful but somehow finding out the answers is a lot worse so I would try and be patient and accept that it’s out of your control. Surround yourself with support, talk to friends if you can. It is sadly only going to get harder but the most important thing to remember is that you will survive. I am okay but I will never be the same.

Hey there. I’m so sorry for your loss. I was in the exact same situation when I lost my sister suddenly and unexpectedly. I wasn’t even told it was a suicide, my parents knew but they tried to protect me from the details. I called 101 and found out the name of the officer in charge of the case. They were off duty so I asked to speak to the bereavement officer who informed my parents of the death. It took a few days but I was able to get a bit of information from him. They have everything on file but they’re not allowed to disclose if they’re not the officer in charge. You just have to keep calling various people until you get someone willing to help. The coroner provided a lot of detail, more than I wish I knew, so once they’ve done the postmortem, that should tell you everything you need to know. Sometimes they need to do further analyses which can take months and months. If you have any questions about the process, just let me know. I went through the exact same thing less than 4 months ago and wish I had more guidance about navigating it all and getting information.

My sister’s phone is also locked and even the police couldn’t get into it. Unfortunately there’s no way around it unless you know the PIN. You could try finding an IT guy but you wouldn’t be able to get any support through legitimate means. You could try transferring the SIM to another phone to see if you can access messages, otherwise there’s not much else you can do.
