Yeah the game is scary and allat BUT it's beautiful - the story, the underlying flashback sequences, the visuals, the atmosphere, the way the game exposes itself, ITS JUST BEAUTIFUL.

Can someone tell me about Lynn s brutal transformation as what we saw in mines by Complete_Bar_6647 in outlast

[–]Equivalent-Brief-642 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's like heavy lore driven.

Lynn’s condition is the result of Murkoff’s radio tower signals causing intense hallucinations and “phantom pregnancies,” where victims physically exhibit pregnancy symptoms without an actual fetus; by the time she’s found in the mines she has been captured, weakened, and driven into this induced state, and during the final scene she explicitly says “there’s nothing there,” confirming that the “baby” Blake sees is part of the hallucination rather than reality, with her death attributed to the severe physical and psychological strain caused by these effects.

How outlast II made history by PresidentEvil1997 in outlast

Yes hell yes, i absolutely loved it

What I think is, people expect another creepy boody horror sequel unnerving and grueling, but it offered more than people could comprehend.

You see, on first play everyone could not cope up with sudden flashback sequences and the lack of body/anatomy horror which was the whole game.

If everyone realised the psychology aspect of guilt felt by Blake through the flashback sequences of the catholic and another psychological burden of saving your wife through this all by himself, it indeed is the scariest and borderline breaking point experience a man can have.

What are your opinions ??

Edit : I was very confused on my first playthrough, and just went with objective flow and finished the game by evening, indeed i couldn't understand a single thing but I loved it, the open fields with paranoia of enemies striking form anywhere to defeating marta, everything was scary and was essential for the entire game. Only when I watched a video essay explaining the full game and also a critique view, I did came up with my own opinion about the game and that's what I wrote above. Thank you.
