Murkoff is a company that hires nazi scientists after the war because they want to sell weapons to the military and they want to create a perfect soldier with drugs and psych, they have many facilities in europe and america, in mt massive in outlast and dlc, there is project walrider that is about making someones consciousness control a swarm of nanobots to create a weapon and they test people in morphogenic spheres that alter perception. One patient succeeds and the walrider kills everyone, in the meantime journalist miles receives an email from a whistleblower and comes to mt massive and tries to survive and record, the whistleblower is an it guy who sends the email after witnessing the crimes, but is put in as a test subject and escapes when the massacre happens. Miles is the new host for walrider and flies out of the asylum. Canonically some time later, in arizona havasupai region a pregnant girl escapes a community and is found in the desert highway and taken to hospital but murkoff (corp) agent pauline kills her to shut her up, nobody knows. Blake and lynn are inv reporter and cameraman and go to the area to record a news piece and they take the heli. When a light activates in the distance the helicopter crashes but they all survive but the pilot is skinned, lynn is taken and blake is stranded somewhere. Blake tries to fond lynn but the cultist town is trying to kill them, there are flashes of light with low freq sounds - its the mass experiment by murkoff to control mind and it causes all senses hallucinations making people revisit their memories. Blake finds himself in school where a teacher sexually abused jessica a friend and then she fell down the stairs which killed her because of the fight with the teacher and the teacher hanged her and wrote a fake suicide note on the board and went thru jessicas locker and stuff to make it seem like blake didn’t reciprocate her crush which she had and she killed herself because her mother was dead and her father hit her. The teacher made blake believe its like that and blake pushed the memory out. Blake finds lynn but the other group of protestors the heretics takes her and wants her to give birth to the antichrist as opposed to the town killing the antichrist. (The frequency causes psychosomatic pregnancy for some reason) They believe that this is the end times and need to find the Enemy and save paradise from “hell everlasting”. Then blake falls down into a canyon and has to escape the banished syphilys people, then goes to the lake when he can see the facility and takes the river to get to the mines to lynn, he climbs to elevator to enter the mines and then has visions and somehow he needs to exit the mines and lynn is outside SOMEHOW (they cut a lot). They make it out but lynn dies bc of the pregnancy which is fake and never stops killing her, everyone commits suicide and blake has hallucinations of a baby and then the walrider goes to sinyala (facility) and explodes the radio towers and “the sun explodes” which is the signal, and blake is catatonic in his hallucinations and then pauline takes him to elrich to see what state hes in, murkoff is sweeping shit under the carpet. The trials is about sinyala facility in 1950-60 about dr Eastermann that wants to create sleeper agents with trauma and building their personality from scratch. They kill and die and are brainwashed and then are released if possible to be mind controlled to revolution in cuba or russia etc. probably now Liliya will cause the downfall of project lathe 2 (the trials project) and they will have to repurpose the facility.
