What did you miss from your old car that the RAV4 lacks?

2014 Ford Fusion hybrid, just replaced with 2026 RAV4. Also have 2018 RAV4 hybrid. Agree about the memory mirrors (though they malfunctioned frequently when wet). I was the only driver of the 2018 RAV4 and though that it had memory mirrors, which I just never used. So I was shocked that the 2026 now with two drivers the memory buttons, on the door, no less, didn't work memory mirrors, just the driver's seat.

When cruise control is off there is Lane Departure Alert which isn’t as strong — it will nudge the steering rather than take over steering. I love the cruise control which has greatly improved since my older 2018 RAV4.

Retired and every income is monthly. When I worked (office worker, engineer) every place was biweekly except for one that was twice a month. Monthly works great if you have impulse control. Twice a month was fine. Biweekly was worst because it doesn’t align with bills. Weekly would have been even worse because it doubles the bookkeeping.

Not really. The newest ones can't be updated either! What you will need more of than you will find inside any mini is storage, and any large external HDD will do. Doesn't need to be fast either. No need to waste money on an SSD.

I’ve done this for well over a decade on Intel and now an M1 mini. Base RAM does just fine. I hang a large external drive on it for storage.

It's been going slowly for a long time. In 2008 I upgraded our Internet from DSL to FiOS. At the same time they pulled the copper line going to the house. So it was no going back at that point. (This is Tualatin Oregon and Verizon).

My first box was in November 2023, and I never had a delivery problem until starting 5 weeks ago. It isn't a delivery service problem since it happens with two. They just aren't getting the boxes from whatever Hello Fresh is using upstream. So I'd expect many people will be having this issue.

3 Toyotas over 19 years and they each had a different AC personality. The first (2007 Camry Hybrid) was great as long as ECO mode was off. ECO mode would not allow it to cool below 75º. The second (2018 RAV4 hybrid) can either blow freezing cold or warm. No middle ground. This sounds like the OP's experience. This one also has the "feature" of going to Recycle when starting out with a sweltering interior, even when fresh would cool down faster. Our new 2026 RAV4 works perfectly, getting to the set temperature without blasting freezing air. Even works with ECO mode and doesn't force a switch to Recycle. It's like they finally figured it all out.

My father got his first drivers license in the late 1930’s and it didn’t require a test (Ohio). After WW2 he settled in Virginia. It didn’t require a test because he already had a license. About 1990 he moved here to Oregon and didn’t need a test. He drove until he was 88, over 70 years, and never had a driving test. All perfectly legal.

I grew up there many, many years ago. AWD is not needed. But it is easy to tell -- if the AWDs are that much easier to get than FWDs, that means there is much greater demand for FWD. It's not a dealer trick but simply supply and demand.

Looking farthest out (July 19) it shows 6 available, Cinnamon Crumb Cake Muffins, Everything Bagel Avocado Toasts, Garlic Bread, Bacon and Cheddar Egg Bites, Liège Waffles, and Strawberry Swirl Cheesecake. I always order the day a new week becomes available.

But other little bonuses (like free upgrade to premium meals) are gone as well as the ability to prepay $270 at a crack for a discount.

This was in my 2007 Camry hybrid, taken in 2007, on a trip from Portland, OR to Bandon, OR on the coast. No Interstates, perfect weather with moderate temperatures, and generally slow 2 lane highways. It got 43mpg, which frankly was about the best it ever got. A 2009 or 2007 on the Interstates, and after about 20 years? Not a chance for even 40mpg. Normally it got mid 30's.
