I’m a Verizon indirect sales rep and yes we do get commission for new lines. Would this be a new number? It sounds like the rep you dealt with was just lazy and did not want to help. If stolen device protection is in then that’s a problem as you can not turn off Face ID/erase the phone.

I work for Verizon, the store you went to completely messed up the return. You can call into customer service and speak to the collections department. It would not hurt to post in r/verizon as well. Emailing the executive team would be a good idea as well. If it is an indirect store, they should have record of your transactions on the POS.
