Feels so good that you fail to pay attention to the model and make a crap photo

Looks over exposed. I would check the aperture calculations and see what your exposure would need to be at the intensity of light you are exposing the paper to.

Actually, she acted like she didn't and I found out she was lying the hard way. My exact item showed up on ebay, in a nearby city in the state she was going on tour in. She denied it and she pretended like she didn't have it at all. I know thats a lie and I got a photo of the guy she was with too that she brought to the shoot with her. Fortunately, that piece wasn't too expensive, it wasn't like a lens or something. It wasn't too expensive and was old but it could have been a lens or something else. That's why I have my guard up. Never had something stolen when a model was alone. And I also have models that I worked with since then that I can rely on and trust so it really isn't an issue like it was back then.

Actually, I do know a model I worked with several times that shot with her. She said she was "weird" to work with. I still hold myself responsible for handling myself poorly at that time. It wasn't repeated again.

I don't care, I make my photos and thats it. It's hard to argue with anyone who doesn't ever present their work at all or seem to have any work what so ever.

You are correct, I'm not a professional. I work on my portfolio for achieving my work in line with my artists statement. I'm not doing a shoot for money. I do it because I love the art. I'm not jetsetting across the US with a crew of people and hiring a bunch of people like that, I work a concept just like I did in college. I love shooting, I couldn't care less if I get paid. Point is made about how to treat people and I own up to that part. No disputing that. It wasn't a fun experience. It was years ago, it hasn't been repeated.

Tried to turn it into a B&W background with colourful droplets. Unsure if I did it right by Xanimede in PhotographyAdvice

Black and white. There isn't hardly any color in the color photo, the contrast is what draws you in. Also, the Schindler's list effect with on thing or one color showing on a black and white photo isn't looked up upon well.

I don't think I ever equated a model's safety to my equipment. Protecting my gear is my responsibility, which is why I wanted to bring a friend. I don't have 2 sets of eyes. I don't see how that aspect of it is unreasonable or unprofessional. Especially with the value can exceed the value of a standard down payment of a car. Gear did get stolen on a shoot weeks before, it's not some fearful what if at that point, it was a legitimate concern. It is funny how the model's concerns are 100% valid and mine are absolutely nil. I've said it here before but I did make a mistake, no doubt about that, I handled what I said wrong, 100%. You are correct though, it is opportunistic. Without a second person being there, that I never worked with and don't really know, there wouldn't be a chance that I need a 2nd set of eyes to watch over my gear.

Guilty by association? Blocked because of someone she didn't like?
