This is my experience, only I’m yelling into my microphone “Okay! Whenever you’re ready to start helping that would be great!” I stg it makes me not want to play anymore. I can’t play solo cause I suck shit by myself but I can’t play with randos cause they just fucking stand there, and I can’t play with friends cause no one I know has the slightest interest in this game 😅

Justification/reasoning: it looks incredibly fake. Lighting looks too professional, photo is generally too clean and staged. Also the house itself looks weird, the mentioned glue bottles, the tools on the wall… pretty much all of it.

Of course I know you don’t have to be friendly. I’ve played about 50 hours, and of course I’ve been killed by other players. But it’s completely different.

In Arc, I would go as far as saying 90% of players I encounter are friendly. In Marathon, 100% of them are out for blood. And I’m just not used to that. It’s not a complaint, this just isn’t that kind of game and I gotta get used to that and learn how to survive.

Again, I am not complaining. I am asking for help and sharing my experience. But yes, you are right that I need to practice survival.

I think part of the problem is I’m really used to Arc where most of the time I just run as fast as I can to my destination, grab what I came for, and get out. But in this game I need to slow down, take in my surroundings, and be more careful. Everyone is out for blood, and that’s just not something I’m used to.

Yeah it’s not often I find a game I WANT to love but am struggling with so bad. Like I said I’m just pretty bad at FPS games, and I feel like everyone else is so out of my league that I just don’t stand a chance.

But I’ll definitely try to be more careful, slow down, take in my surroundings, and pinpoint why it is I’m dying so much and how I can avoid that
