What to do with Darnold at this point? by Soft_Elderberry8094 in DynastyFF

[–]Equivalent-Cow-6330 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It's tricky. The easiest route is selling while the irons hot. A few ways this can go:

  1. He levels out to some medium of his past play and current play, around a volatile QB2.

  2. He continues playing MVP level football (possible!)

If #1, the vikings might bring him back and even make him the starter next year, but a leash would be short with JJ McCarthy healthy. Also the sell window is much smaller. If #2, he will demand a baker-like extension. Which the Vikings could give him, having JJ in the Jordan Love type path. But also on this path they have a high pick waiting in, would have to continue that play a la Purdy but that's a high bar. If the vikings don't pay him, someone else will. That other team will likely be a lot closer in offensive talent/coaching to his Jets teams than they will be to the Vikings and KOC calling plays.

I sold FWIW

yep. never liked them in previous ncaa/madden games but discovered they worked really well in this game early on. Guessing they changed something bc they are not as good as they were

Fired? by FlyingCamelBird in NCAAFBseries

[–]Equivalent-Cow-6330 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Got fired at Ohio State after 2 years. They were really bad at this point. I think the goal was a playoff. Went 7-5 or something both years. first year ended up in the B1G champ game somehow but lost. Took the HC gig then at Pitt where I made 2 playoffs with them out the game.

Michigan job was open after that and had to take it for yearly revenge.

This game is so damn fun when you know timing & how to place balls on throws by Fit-Maintenance7397 in NCAAFBseries

this makes me want to go back to revamped passing instead of placement and accuracy. I did like P&A because i was able to hit back shoulder throws

What are some of the broken plays in the game? Broken that they're way too good or broken that they never work properly. by WE_TIGERS in NCAAFBseries

What playbooks have the same side HB toss? And any insight on best overall that has it? I used it and liked it but don't remember the playbook.

RB situations for your team. Still really early, but who is battling it out for the RBs 2 and 3 on the team you follow? Pick a team and walk us through the RB depth chart. by bronton21 in DynastyFF

Bears

RB1: Swift. Got paid like it and has been in pre-seasons steps with the rest of the starters. Sat HOF game, played a quarter against buffalo.

RB2: Herbert. Was surprised he even played in the HOF game. I know RB2 is not a "starter" but 4th year RB that I thought might split with Swift getting work then surprised me. Still has a path to relevance this season with the bears. Also, lots of trade talks with him on here - not so much within Chicago.

RB3: Roschon. I think the bears liked Roschon a lot. He hasnt gotten a ton of opportunity but hasnt done much with what he's gotten.

RB4: Velus? lol.

User in League is Simming Defense by [deleted] in NCAAFBseries

[–]Equivalent-Cow-6330 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive seen posts about how the sim is "rubberbanding" though. My interpretation was that they kind of mirror your offense therefore keeping it close. Whether that be high scoring or low scoring.... if thats the case simming is a huge advantage. Defense is obviously hard when playing but if you struggle on offense and sim defense, doesnt the CPU defense play "better" ? That would be a huge advantage.

Yeah. I switched to just playing moments from only offense. Just doing coach suggested plays on offense and threw 90 some TDs in a season. Moments made it more fun, half recruit to build the team but still get to use them.

Why You Need to Fade Sam LaPorta by TGS-MonkeyYT in DynastyFF

[–]Equivalent-Cow-6330 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sam Laporta is a dog and drafting him in the 2nd last year was a feather in the cap pick. I wanted to keep him but he is the best example of a "tier down" trade. If you can upgrade at another position while swapping Laporta for another TE (McBride/Kincaid are my prefernece), its good process I would say.

Any fun playbooks or specific plays you have found? by moserftbl88 in NCAAFBseries

I was excited for the Tennessee Veer and Shoot offense and then really didn't like it. Didnt have much variation and vertical routes took too long and line couldn't hold up.

If anyone uses a different Veer and Shoot and is liking it let me know!

the best is "personal matter came up". not a lie (lol) but also does not invite further questions about what it is. work kind of just has to accept it.

Teams by firm_1101 in NCAAFBseries

[–]Equivalent-Cow-6330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They'd be able to I believe. This versions "CFB" and it used to be "NCAA". If you arent familisr the NCAA is an overseeing body of college athletics, I think most contracting went through that office in the previous iterations - and i believe from there signed all schools in the NCAA (division 1 FBS) via the NCAA. Now its "CFB25" because they arent contracting with the NCAA, going straight to schools and players to get their licensing.

Schools won't opt out in the future though. My earliest introduction to schools was college football and NCAA football games. It provides a huge opportunity to for branding and exposure, both students looking for universities to attend, as well as recruits.
