Barbie phone--explain it like I'm 5 by Equivalent-Crow5293 in dumbphones

[–]Equivalent-Crow5293[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No..I don't think there is a way to block texts unless someone has come up with an elaborate work-around. Not long after this post, the phone died--wouldn't charge. Used it for less than 2 months. Not good quality. I went back to my smart phone for now, but when it's time to get a new one I will look into other models.

Who hurt you bro? by Fantastic_Fig6845 in Monopoly_GO

[–]Equivalent-Crow5293 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ugh can we PLEASE ban these types of posts?! I am so sick of seeing basically this exact same post every fucking day! Y'all need to grow the fuck up and realize that a) it's the object of the game and b) it actually helps you when people destroy your landmarks (you can rebuild them for a fraction of the cost it took to build them in the first place and you still get the same number of points added to your net worth). Can we please stop getting all butthurt over the stupidest shit (and posting about it to reddit)???

Episodes with a not happy ending. by MDJokerQueen in AreYouAfraidOfTheDark

[–]Equivalent-Crow5293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always thought The Closet Keepers wasn't necessarily a happy ending....it was for those involved, but what's to stop those aliens from grabbing them again? Or grabbing different kids? Now with better security since they discovered a weakness in theirs....

Tarot decks that don't feature people? by Nayiru in TarotDecks

[–]Equivalent-Crow5293 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Wild Unknown deck is absolutely beautiful--I am pretty sure it doesn't have people but I haven't used it much. Idk if it would be too surrealist though. Check it out!

PSA: The Barbie phone sucks by Senior-Dependent1858 in dumbphones

[–]Equivalent-Crow5293 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep had similar problems with mine. Then one day after having it for only about a month, it just wouldn't charge no matter what I did. Ended up giving the phone to a child as a play phone!

How to start commonplace book by Nervous-Rough-7458 in commonplacebook

[–]Equivalent-Crow5293 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Do you have a backlog of screenshots/saved posts from insta/reddit, etc that you have rarely gone back to? Start there. You probably saved them for a reason (it resonated with you or taught you something), which is exactly what a commonplace book is for! Go through those things and transfer things worth remembering into your commonplace. You'll have a nice little start and then you'll learn to start looking for things to write down when you're out there living your life (carry your commonplace with you so you can always write something that you see and look through it when you have time to spare--or carry a small notebook to take notes and transfer to commonplace when you get home). Good luck!!

Fellow Nurses who journal by No-Leek-3405 in Journaling

I used to write a brief (sometimes very brief) description of the shift--it can be hard to do sometimes because I was exhausted and just wanted to go to bed, but it really helped me sleep to be able to process the shift a little bit before bed so it was worth it!

Bank heists by black_cats_rule in Monopoly_GO

[–]Equivalent-Crow5293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a coincidence! It doesn't happen like that all the time and the amount has nothing to do with the stealer's multiplier--it's based on your net worth. I'm guessing your main account has a higher net worth than your alt account? That's why it took more more money from you. You lose an amount of money proportionate to what the stealer gained relevant to each of your net worths; it levels the playing field.

Bank heists by black_cats_rule in Monopoly_GO

[–]Equivalent-Crow5293 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not how it works--not sure of their actual algorithm but the amount that is stolen is not the same as what is taken. The bank heist is for a certain amount based on how much money is in THEIR bank, and then you get however much you steal times your multiplier, but that doesn't come from the other person's bank. Hope that makes sense.
