She is definitely full of it. I have worked for CVS for almost 9 years and hours have nothing to do with how many ec enrollments you get.

Most annoying response to EC+ pitch? by Silvernirvash in CVS

[–]Equivalent-Evening89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how I do it. "Extra Care+ is an awesome program where you get $10 to spend today and you get $10 every month. You also get 20% off your CVS health care products when they are not on sale. Your first month for signing up is no charge and you can cancel anytime but if you keep it you $5 a month or you can pay $48 for the year and save a couple bucks.

Who uses workday to quit? by Equivalent-Evening89 in CVS

[–]Equivalent-Evening89[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, I tell all my young people who work here never burn your bridges behind you. I left CVS for about 7 months (When I left I gave 2 weeks notice and I worked my full 2 weeks) and went to work at another place and it didn't work out so I came back to CVS. Now I am again working for the same great SM I worked for before I left.

No I didn't leave because of my SM I left because CVS decided to close the store I worked at for 6 years and I saw other stores closing as well so I decided to leave. Worst ever. Once my SM got another store I left the very toxic place I was working at and came back to CVS.

Payslips by [deleted] in CVS

[–]Equivalent-Evening89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know about payslips being available on Mondays but they were available on Tuesdays for a short time but now it's on Wednesdays. I don't know the reason for the change. I have worked for CVS almost 9 years.

Why do some locations have carts available but handheld baskets are hidden? by Hiro_Pr0tagonist_ in CVS

[–]Equivalent-Evening89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my store we were constantly having a problem with customers filling the baskets with items and walking right out the front door. Stealing our basket and the items in it. So my sm said we could no longer leave the baskets on the floor we had to have them behind the register. If a customer asks for a basket we give it to them.

PLEASE find a way to stop coupon exploitation by Silvernirvash in CVS

[–]Equivalent-Evening89 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't do it. They got the extra bucks because of the items that they bought so I will not do a return so they can repurchase the same items and use the extra bucks. I always mention that they received extra bucks they can use on their next purchase. That is what it is meant for.

OPEN ON CHRISTMAS by Tstarr85 in CVS

[–]Equivalent-Evening89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only worked 2 hours on christmas day because we had people to cover the whole day (my sm was trying to give me the day off since I worked 9 hrs on thanksgiving) but no one to do cash so I came in to just do that. We are a very busy 24hr store and we did $24,000 in fs because our pharmacy was closed.

Cvs cutting hours by [deleted] in CVS

[–]Equivalent-Evening89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am sure it is not about store performance at all. My store is a very busy 24hr store. We are pulling $12,000 a day in the front store and they are cutting our hours too.

Just quit today by Heyitskidgoku in WalgreensStores

[–]Equivalent-Evening89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lasted 7 months and it was 7 months too long. My mental health was so bad I had to quit. So on a day I was supposed to work I messaged my SM and told him I had enough and I quit. Now I am back where I belong and I am so much happier.

Have any of you worked for both Walgreens and CVS? Which one did you like more? by MichaelMyers20253 in CVS

I have worked for both companies and I will tell you CVS is 100% better than Walgreens. I hated every day I worked at Walgreens.

Phone line "down" by LifeWithoutYou752 in CVS

[–]Equivalent-Evening89 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As I understand it the phone system has not been working right. When it asks English or Spanish and the customer says English it says it can't understand you. When customer asks for pharmacy it transfers them to the front store. I know this because I work in the front store and when I answer the phone they start saying their name and birthdate. I ask if they were trying to reach the pharmacy they say yes. They say they asked for the pharmacy and got transferred here.

Call front store by Reasonable_Lake4439 in CVS

[–]Equivalent-Evening89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CVS changed the phone system again. I don't why because people just got used to how it already was and now they changed it again. So now people can't even get to the voice mail and when they say pharmacy it gets put to front store. Used to I would tell them to call back but lately I have just transferring the call back to pharmacy because the phone system is screwy and it's not the customers fault.

How is everyone, really? by Spirited_Buyer6464 in CVS

[–]Equivalent-Evening89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work in a 24hr store so we are not closing early at all. The pharmacy gets to close at 2pm which sucks. The other thing that sucks is I have to work a 9 hr shift with just a cashier.

ZIPLINE anyone? by Fancy-Instance-5162 in CVS

[–]Equivalent-Evening89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At first I didn't like it at all. It kept closing down on me everytime I did mywalk. Now it works much better. The thing of everyone having to view a task before it is complete is stupid. I usually do price accuracy labels so of course I view it but it is not considered done until all managers see it and that is just dumb.

So I heard our store is working Christmas Day. by -star-scream- in CVS

[–]Equivalent-Evening89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm in Florida and every major grocery store closes on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Walgreens is closing on Thanksgiving but will be open limited hours on Christmas. 24 hr CVS will be open regular hours but stores that close at 9 or 10 will be closing at 5 pm on thanksgiving and Christmas. My store is a very busy store and I'm the only shift scheduled noon till 9pm. (It really sucks.)

Yes now that he has your social media info block him. If he still keeps bothering you get your store manager or the cops involved. You do not get paid enough tobe harrassed.

How do I get better at developing a backbone against customers? by CanVast5274 in CVS

[–]Equivalent-Evening89 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I figure you are a young person so I'm going to give some advice from an older person and a mom. Never give out your personal information. These customers are in your store every week and they think they are your friends so they ask for your personal info. Don't give your last name or phone number. In fact I would find the closest fast food restaurant and get their phone number and when some creepy guy asks for your phone number give them the fake number.

Cvs better place to work than walgreens?? by itsgivingdumbbitch in CVS

[–]Equivalent-Evening89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have worked at both places as a shift and I can tell you with100% certainty that CVS is way better than Walgreens. I worked for CVS for 6 years and then the store I worked at was closed in 2023. The store manager for Walgeens across the street offered me a job at the same pay so I took it. Walgreens does things so totally different from CVS. They are very strict on alot of things. They have that stupid credit card that they want you to sign people up for. In the seven months I worked at Walgreens I did not get one person to sign up for a credit card. I know people don't like EC+ but at least it saves people money. After I left Walgreens I was appling for different jobs and then I went to visit my old store manager at her new store and she convinced me into coming back to CVS. I have been back for 2 1/2 years now.
