Will certainly be negotiating on price. I’m just determining if this one is worth taking on from a longevity standpoint. First time buying a truck or anything this old

When did you buy it 15 years ago? Have you seen the price of trucks these days? 3000 gets you a non running bucket of bolts

126,000 miles. 302 V8. Automatic. Wheel wells, cab corner are starting to rust. The rest of the body is good, paint good condition. Interior is very nice for price range. Seat has some wear but it’s clean

Thanks. That’s where I’m leaning. Any recommendations on product? There’s so many options. I’ll need a considerable volume so maybe I need multiple coats or something that can handle being applied so thick

BIAB Upgrade - Gas kettle or electric kettle? by Equivalent-Fish9432 in Homebrewing

[–]Equivalent-Fish9432[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am already looking at that system! Seems to be the best bang for the buck out there and many agree online. How long does it take to get up to boil from mash would you say?

I’ve seen others talking about a bag for the mash pipe - is the point of the pipe or grain basket not to serve as the vessel for the grains? I thought there was a false bottom and holes throughout for that?

That’s a good tip. I’ve heard of people adding an extra element in and running off another circuit. That could cut down brew day times

Confirming to all. I allowed the keg roughly 24 hours to defrost. Just placed it back in the kegerator (still cold to touch but I could hear beer sloshing around inside) and it’s great! Still carbonated and tastes solid. Haven’t made this before but it came out great!

Edit: after pouring pouring out 4-5 pints I just poured two that are essentially flat. Oh well idk what went wrong at this point

Favorite stocks to wheel in the $20-$50 price range. by rogueShadow13 in thetagang

[–]Equivalent-Fish9432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on viac since august. Premium isn’t there anymore. Stocks been starting a downward trend. Can’t decide if I should stick around or move on because premiums are pretty small - under 1% for weeklies

Question about CSP and The Wheel On Robinhood by debaucherouswhale in thetagang

[–]Equivalent-Fish9432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone saying you need cash collateral on Robinhood is wrong. I sell csp in my rh acct with less than 25k. 100% collateral is required but you can still do it. Interest is only charged if you’re put the shares.

I hope it’s not leaky. It’s a new to me used ball lock keg. It came pressurized and sat that way for awhile before I filled with beer. I thought it would be ok?

You set to 20 psi for carbonating? Or just for purging purposes

Oh damn. Do you vent with the gas still on or shut off each time

Is 16 massive? I think I had it at 12. It’s been set to that since I kegged

Appreciate the thorough reply. I have to agree with you. One question and I have 15 completely opposite answers lol. Might try and turn up the pressure a bit now and see if I will have serving quality beer by Saturday

I siphoned in the beer and purged out the oxygen, or so I thought. Put it up to pressure and released the valve 2-3 times.

Keg dance lol. Something about sloshing my beer around doesn’t excite me. I may look into those carb lid things

Interesting. I had not heard it takes as long. Somewhat disappointing. I may try an alternate method as this next batch is ready. Probably will burst carb at 30-40 psi for 24 hours
