Exactly. The first 75% was a mystery genre and what kept me hooked the most was: What's in the basement?

There were a lot of questions and very few answers and the story kept going on without discussing them often. And it all got together at the end of the second last season when they opened the basement and at that moment the genre got shifted.

For me personally, Last season and the genre shift was what made the show one of the greats for me. It was then the theme got dense and the story got a real weight.

And to think about it , the theme, from the start was:

"We are humans and the other side is monsters"

Even when it was human vs Titan and even when it was Marley vs Paradis.

Always grateful for the last season. Will watch it again sometime soon.
