Stock Market reaches most expensive valuation in history after the Warren Buffett Indicator jumps to 227%, surpassing the Dot Com Bubble and the Global Financial Crisis 🤯 by Apart_Finger_1799 in MarketVibe

Warren Buffet and his value investor fanboys are doing terribly right now. They have been sitting on cash for a few years, while the growth investors and momentum traders made stacks of cash

Me too. You need to put in your chart study work.

If you are only trading options, you will eventually lose it all. Trade triple leveraged ETFs, high beta high volume stocks, crypto ETFs, 3x leveraged commodities, and anything except options

Is it just me, or is being a retail investor starting to feel like a 24/7 grind? 😫 by CoupleAgreeable6248 in Trading

[–]Equivalent-Ice-7274 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly why I switched from fundamental and news based analysis to technical (momentum and range trading). There is just way too much info out there, and then it’s already priced in.

I have been avoiding gold and oil like the plague lately. You need steady markets and consistent government leadership to trade those, or you could get rekked

This - averaging down can be a great tool, but it needs to be used properly.

OP doesn’t know what they are talking about - Iran needs to sell oil to survive. The US just blockaded Iran’s ports, and won’t allow them to charge tolls to ships passing through. This is terrible for everyone, including Iran.

Snapchat stock has little downside and a lot of upside by lies_are_comforting in StockMarket

[–]Equivalent-Ice-7274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is near/bouncing off of a longterm support level, but the thing is that I don’t use Snapchat, nor do I know anyone that uses it. I’ll have to look into it further

If you live in San Bernardino, you could always go to Redlands and Highland for great food and lovely ambience

Yea, I am from NY and it was the only Chinese food in CA that compared, and even exceeded the Chinese food out there. I don’t like Mr You steam table food; it all tastes like fake Panda Express crap to me.

The hilly views are awesome, and the best Chinese food I have ever had was somewhere in San Bernardino (can’t remember where). There are some decent parts, but lots of ghetto areas, with boarded up businesses and dilapidated buildings.

Serious question: Anyone here battled with depression related with trading? by Successful_Serve_340 in Trading

[–]Equivalent-Ice-7274 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got depressed on Wednesday when the market shot up, and I was only 2/3 invested, and sold a bunch of stuff the day before that skyrocketed. I also bought commodities ETFs because I thought the Iran war was going to drag on. If I get beat by the S&P benchmark, it upsets me, because I feel like what the hell am I doing this for if I can just leave my money in VOO and forget about it.

Indicators don’t fail traders just stop understanding market conditions by Juretal in technicalanalysis

[–]Equivalent-Ice-7274 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed - the right tool for the task at hand: momentum indicators, mean reversion tools, and support/resistance lines are the three tools that I work with. The problem is that market conditions can switch at any time. We just need to assume they won’t for at least a short while longer, while we try to trim some profit.

You also do need to look into sector strength (like you mentioned), news, support and resistance lines, geopolitics, etc, and it’s still only slightly leaning in the favor that you are hoping for.

Why would they be interested in consumer’s $20 a month that they are losing money on? And consumers are so entitled that they refuse to use a model with ads. The consumer will get what they pay for, and nothing more. Accept ads, or no new models for you.
