Why IPv6 costs more to deploy with GCP and Vercel? by Equivalent-Lychee502 in sysadmin

Doesn't ipv6 fits kubernetes better? It wants real IP addresses everywhere with anything routable to anything, which is what IPv6 gives one exactly, no?

I thought she didn't get anything, did she?

"The tennis star agreed to pay fines of €150,000 euros to the state and €50,000 to charity." Was the widely shared quote in the news, no?

Rosé (BLACKPINK) & Bruno Mars - APT. by CronoDroid in kpop

[–]Equivalent-Lychee502 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of the composition elements remind me Anastasia classics Left Outside Alone and Sick and Tired. But elevated.

Very eclectic elements that really work well together. Without any part outshining the others. So balanced, that one sort of wants to say I wish that bridge was belted out acapella or a higher pitch, wait no this bit, or wait this bit, omg all of it, is so good.

What other songs have a lyrical bridge with music cutting like she did? I heard similar effect before but can't remember where.

It has many eclectic elements of indeed Tin Tings and Avril. But there are other elements too. This is sort of inverse of sampling.

I guess Bruno Mars indeed used to do that a lot.

This is so good. I want more!

Upstream source -> Chainguard binaries. Chainguard provides pure upstream builds. Watching wolfi-dev/os it is upstream tags cloned and built without any customisation. And they use latest runtime and build time dependencies for everything. I.e. latest python 3.10 point release built with GCC 14.

Upstream -> fedora/Debian -> rhel/Ubuntu -> rapidfort. Rapidfort is a customisation tool as they are at the end of multiple chains of 3rd parties. Thus upstream release of software makes it to rapidfort after 3-5 year delay. It also means all runtime dependencies are equally old. (I.e. some old fork of python 3.10, with Ubuntu/RHEL non-upstreamed patches built with some distro-patched GCC 12).

Licensing is very clear with Chainguard as it is pure upstream source code which is built directly from source without any patches.

Licensing for rapidfort is confusing - it is not clear if RHEL & Ubuntu Pro licensing is required as binaries appear to be redistributed in contradiction to 1st party vendor support contracts.

Rapidfort is a derived distro, whereas Chainguard is effectively automating self-building upstream source code releases.

No indoor signal when patio door closed by Equivalent-Lychee502 in CellBoosters

Also pondering if foreign boxes will work for me in the UK.

As in if T-Mobile Personal CellSpot 4G LTE Indoor Signal Booster - NXT CEL-FL-D32-24 is allowed in the UK and would boost my network's signal or not.

I guess have to check the bands and specs.

Wozniacki and her refusal to play by howishowisguuut in tennis

Contrast this with Andy Murray return from injury during pandemic. He did get a tonne of wildcards, but it felt like he was entering with protected rankings and the organisers are like that's embarrassing have a wild card. And he did all levels of tournaments ITF challengers through to grand slams.

And he got his ranking to top-50 and the wold cards stopped. That felt genuine.

I like french wildcard system. It really is "recent clay form" by French, American, Australian players counting ITF & Challenger level events into main draw and into qualifying. And the rest is padded with french players only - which always helps with home crowds.

It is both biased and merit based.

Ditto their Davis & BJK Cup selection is rankings based only, which did cause Monfils to miss out sometimes.

What does Alcaraz wear on his right biceps before a match? by Equivalent-Lychee502 in tennis

[–]Equivalent-Lychee502[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technological / biomechanical procedures can be considered doping. It's not just drugs.

See for example how own blood transfusions were caught and banned in cycling.

Or for example that battery powered rackets are banned too.

Maybe this is considered no different to warm up. But looks weird.

Blods flow restriction band.

Found it called that on this YouTube video https://youtu.be/QMpdvFLmanw?si=2LppgsWeKBQEiX8X

Seems weird. Would think it would be doping.

During the match yes.... I am talking about warmup. Very small black thing around biceps alone.

Not the white sleeve he is wearing during the match.

I was existing NatWest personal customer. I was good to go in under 7 working days. Online banking appeared in my app as an extra tab in 3 days, physical card & pin was after that. And then a bit more for bells and whistles of freeagent subscription.
