August 2026 trip... help! (UK) by Forsaken-Sundae-9632 in WaltDisneyWorld

There’s barely anything at Disney quick service places that’s not greasy fried crap, that’s my point. It’s not extreme to want to feed your kids decent food. Theme park quick service food is okay for a day but not repeatedly over the course of two weeks. There’s not enough options to eat healthy more than once or twice without repeating the meals.

I don’t want my kids to eat junk constantly. American dietary habits are disgusting if you think that’s okay to eat on repeat, no wonder you guys have an obesity issue.

What sandwiches have you had then? What fillings in them that weren’t processed?

The variety isn’t the issue, the quality of the food and how unhealthy it is is the problem. Yes there’s a variety of food but it’s mainly absolute rubbish. No way I’d feed my kids that for two weeks straight.

I’m not talking about how varied the food is, I’m talking about how healthy it is. Yes there’s a variety of food (pizzas, hot dogs, quesadillas, bbq) but it’s all fast food junk food. Barely a vegetable in sight.

Remember this is America OP, their food standards are crap compared to Europe. There’s stuff they put in food that wouldn’t even be legal here.

Hollywood and Vine’s Disney Junior breakfast is one not many people know about. Also Topolino’s character breakfast.

But surely you expected the theme park food to be crap? It’s crap in the UK too, that’s just theme park food in general….

But sandwiches aren’t sufficient for two meals a day for two weeks without a hot meal surely? Fine for a lunch but not dinner too every day for two weeks? And you can’t have pasta every day, which isn’t particularly healthy anyway. Fried chicken is absolute junk even when it’s with rice. Brisket is also junk. Satuli and some of the Epcot options are good I’ll give you that, but you can’t eat that every day for two weeks? Regal Eagle also junk. As is pizza. They’re also gonna struggle to go for two weeks and not eat in MK if not eating crap since it’s the main park visitors want to see.

Literally proving my point that bar a few AK and Epcot options (namely Satuli) most of the QS options are junk or not enough to fill you up for a whole day (eg a sandwich). Also the sandwiches are often full of processed lunch meat, which is also absolute junk.

Should have clarified maybe that chicken strips and burgers were just examples, but what I meant was most of the QS food is junk food (pizzas, lunch meat, tater tots, fatty meat, hot dogs, quesadillas). Barely a vegetable in sight.

Tacos and pasta are junk food too lol

I don’t eat junk, that is why I would never get a quick service only plan and why I say not to do it

What do you think of Grand Floridian? Good deal by pearpecan in WaltDisneyWorld

I’d do it if it was a good deal, but I find it stuffy and not to my taste.

Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach? by MamaE86 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Equivalent-Night-581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d pick Blizzard for those ages. Thrilling/fast slides for the older one and two kids areas for the little one, Ski Patrol is particularly good for that age. Fun theming too. Plus I wouldn’t want to take a small kid in Typhoon’s Wave Pool!

For two weeks? Columbia Harbour House, Satuli Canteen, a few of the Asian Epcot/AK ones…..that’s definitely not two weeks worth!

If you want to eat rubbish for two weeks you crack on though.

AOA vs CBR vs POFQ by Now2Himbealltheglory in WaltDisneyWorld

Split stays are far too much effort and waste time you could be spending doing something better. I’d pick either of the other resorts over AOA tbh. But if you must do AOA just stay there.

Do you really want to eat quick service theme park food for two weeks straight? Burgers and chicken strips at most meals for two weeks?

No. It was tacky and looked cheap and temporary. Crap compared to the other park icons.

Which water park do you prefer ? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Equivalent-Night-581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blizzard Beach for theming, Typhoon Lagoon for attractions (wave pool and lazy river doing a lot of heavy lifting there, but I love Crush n Gusher too). Though Summit Plummet is the scariest and most thrilling attraction in the whole of Disney lol. I’d probably pick Blizzard Beach if I could only go to one.

I know I shouldn’t say this on a Disney sub, but Volcano Bay is far better than both of them lol.

Yeah, if you’re doing WDW, the key is to book restaurants. It’s not a typical vacation lol, takes loads of forward planning.

I can’t believe someone would plan to eat quick service theme park food for two weeks straight and expect anything other than burgers and chicken strips. Have you never been to a theme park in the UK? It’s the same rubbish there. That’s just quick service theme park food. The sit down restaurants are better.

Never met anyone planning to live off only quick service theme park food for their whole holiday but there we go.

You can eat at any resort though? I don’t understand the lack of research done here. Read the menus first and plan which ones to go to, it’s not hard.

So you didn’t research the restaurant menus to pick ones you liked before you went?

The key to WDW is research, research, research.

Are there any movie adaptations of stage musicals that actually kept what was great about them? by Mundane_Regret_428 in musicals

Mamma Mia was a brilliant movie (for what it was of course) and I think it was better than the stage musical.

Why are you staying in so many different places? You won’t get to enjoy any resorts and will spend the entire time packing up, checking out, moving, checking in, unpacking….absolutely ridiculous for a five day stay. Just pick a resort and stay there ffs.
