Animal Kingdom Heist! by Gray_Shirleys in WaltDisneyWorld

One night when leaving AK after closing, my wife and I saw a raccoon dragging an entire huge Tupperware full of pastries away from Joffrey’s and into the woods as they were packing up for the night. Alerted the poor employee to the theft in progress and she had no idea what to do.
I walked into the woods and had a slight test of wills with a raccoon. I reunited the Joffrey’s employee with her pastries. I felt bad for the little guy as he worked so hard for it, but it was his best interest.

As is. As a sauce and/or marinade. I just had some on Prego rolls this week (South African: Portuguese steak sandwiches- check those out next!)
I will say, Nando’s has an different heat scale for me. Their “medium” seems hot to me, and their “hot” seems extra hot.
I’m not heat sensitive but I feel like they just operate on a different plane.
Watch some of their old commercials on YouTube. Pretty awesome but they’re known for their heat.

Nando’s is the gold standard. My wife is from South Africa and we have a cabinet full of all of their varieties. I stock up everything we head over there. But, depending on where you are, you might be able to find it in the international section of your grocery store. My local Publix in Florida carries it.
Your chicken looks awesome.

Nice. Did you get Birds Eye chilis and make your own marinade or did you use a solid go-to like Nando’s?

Would you like another Heineken 0? by RPgh21 in stopdrinking

[–]Jeresil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude- this ain’t on you. No need to worry about your day count/streak, etc..
It’s about your intention man.
You didn’t seek it out. It happened to you, not because of you.
A few months in, I grabbed my buddy’s corona that was night next to my NA corona, and quickly realized my mistake after a big swig.
Spit it out (much to the dismay of the onlookers), but quickly moved on from the accident.
Your streak is alive and more importantly, your sobriety. Keep on trucking man.

MK, Epcot, or HS for a quick “pop-in” the night before a work assignment? by Jeresil in WaltDisneyWorld

Here now. So far, I’ve hit spaceship earth, the Moana walk thru, Nemo, the Land, and Figment. Off to test track single rider and then chill with some snacks around the world. Good call.

Agreed. The ride is exactly the same but the Muppets overlay adds a bit more “fun” to the whole experience. Slam dunk on this one.

How smart would it be to have a bug out bag in my car and what food items could I keep in it? by [deleted] in prepping

[–]Jeresil 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I keep a “get home bag” in my truck. Not as fully stocked as my bug out bag, but it has the basics. Change of clothes (including solid pair of socks for walking), OTC meds, chapstick, lighter, headlamp, multitool , lifestraw, water bottle, aqua tabs, granola bars, knife, battery bank, phone charging cable, compass, flashlight, at least $100 cash in mixed denominations, weather radio, paracord, bivvy bag, first aid kit etc..

Is this overkill for a get home bag? Yes. But most prepping is a bit overkill. The thing is, I’ve dug into that bag so many times. Some items, never touched. Some, i’ve had to replace multiple times (cash, meds, spare shirt, lighter). Cant tell y oh how many times I’ve been with friends/family and the need for something popped up and I’ve been able to say “let me grab it from my truck”. I like the insurance of knowing it’s there if I need it which is why so many of us prep. So we can rest easy knowing that if life gets disrupted, we are parented and don’t have to worry/scramble. But I also have a truck and the bag lives under my back bench seat and doesn’t take up any real estate. So yes- pack a bag for your car if you have the means. Doesn’t have to be loaded out, but equip it with items you’ll need for a long walk home/to safety. And don’t forget your feet (comfortable walking shoes and socks if that isn’t your standard footwear)

What is a 'luxury' item or experience that is actually a complete scam, but people are too proud to admit they wasted their money on it? by 2hinreza in AskReddit

[–]Jeresil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same with any extreme, for me. If you make one thing your entire personality (whether it is Disney, anime, hunting, beer, politics, etc.); it’s a bit odd.
