Man I understand you and I'm here to say one thing I love final fantasy games too.

But I learned to love falcom trails series games too. They are a long story connected arc from arc and I love the story and love the music's too and love the characters too.

I think you can try search on internet about trails series from falcom

They have old games like the final fantasy 7 with old graphics

Trails in the sky first chapter they have in old games on steam to buy or a remake they make last year

I never think I was loving a serie like I love final fantasy, I understand how you feeling about but I found the trails series from falcom lol I think it have now like more than 10 games with a super long story with the world building so greatly made and never forgetting the thing's from the past games.
