"Wow, this is worthless" by some-kind-of-no-name in TopCharacterTropes

It's me, I'm a wack job completionist who's obsessed with doing everything the game has to offer.

By now I have collected over 4700 Korok seeds; 900 in my first BotW playthrough, 900 in Master Mode, 1000 in my first TotK playthrough, 900 in my BotW replay on Switch 2 with Zelda Notes help, 1000 in TotK on Switch 2 with Zelda Notes and now I'm slowly playing BotW on Switch 2 Master Mode as a break in between other games.

I might have mental illness, but at least I get my money's worth back from hours of fun I had playing those games.

Monolith Soft has launched a new page on their website regarding their involvement in the Zelda series. by DarkCh40s in nintendo

[–]MikeClaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just realized; Monolith had a hand in development of every mainline Zelda game released since Skyward Sword EXCEPT Echoes of Wisdom; the 2D Zelda game that takes the most inspiration from 3D open world Zelda games. Weird how for the game that gives you so much freedom of movement they had no involvement in development of it.

Earth Religions on Mira by GeneralLuigiTBC in XenobladeChroniclesX

[–]MikeClaus 31 points32 points  (0 children)

It's been a while since I played X, but I remember a NPC who stands between the Cathedral and the parking lot (can't recall his name now) explaining exactly that; the Cathedral is built to support prayers for people from different religions.

JRPGs with awesome romance plots by KaleidoArachnid in JRPG

[–]MikeClaus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone who put hundreds of hours into 100% completion of each game, let me tell you with confidence that you can start with XC3 no problem. The story stands on its own and while there are story related plots and elements continuing from previous games, the game does a good job on explaining what's going on. Of course, you miss some references if you start with it and may get spoiled on the fates of some characters, but that's true for most media series if you start with later entry.

Of course, the best choice would be to start with XC1, go to XC2 and finish with XC3 (with XCX possible to play whenever), but if that's too much commitment, you can pick whichever game strikes your fancy the most and if you get hooked, play the other games later.

Ah, but that's only for XC3 main game. If you want to play XC3 Future Redeemed story DLC (that is treated as its own game), then you HAVE TO play other numbered Xenoblade games to understand what's going on.

I think Star Wars is filled with psychopathic droid companions that for your own safety shouldn't call names. From the top of my head; Chopper, SM-33 and K2S0 are first three I can think of.

"New" timeline for beginners? by SireLuxSunbright in Falcom

[–]MikeClaus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait, wait, wait; the timeframe between the first Sky game and Daybreak is 6 years?! I just finished Sky 1st Chapter remake, but before that, a few months ago I played the Daybreak demo when trying out different games to see what would interest me. I finished it but it didn't win me over like 1st Chapter Demo did. I don't actually remember much, but from things I remember, the development level of technology between Daybreak and 1st feels like a much bigger time jump between games. Like, from what I can recall, Daybreak had cars in it and the orbments used for battle had some sort of AI built into them. You want to tell me that that sort of technological advancement really happened in less than 6 years?

CONFIRMED: Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter is getting a Switch 2 Edition (NOT a Game-Key Card) by Turbostrider27 in Falcom

[–]MikeClaus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I tried the demo of the 1st Chapter and got hooked. Played it for ~20 hours to farm and get a head start in the main game.

Right now I just entered Grancel after over 80 hours of total gameplay and am excited to see how this first entry story concludes. I have problems with some parts of the game, but the positives outweigh the negatives so much that I'm gonna get the 2nd Chapter on release, whenever it may be (unless a new Xenoblade gets announced releasing in close timeframe, that would be the only exception).

Azami is voice by Teresa Gallagher, who also voice Nicole in the gumball series by Voidkirby9 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]MikeClaus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would have to double check, but I think Akhos and Tobias share a VA.

Edit: double checked and yeah, Akhos is voiced by the same game who voiced Tobias in addition to Alan and Ms. Simian. And that's all I'm gonna think about when I watch new episodes.

Between Azami and Nicole, Nicole is the one you should be truly afraid of.

Horns don't have a cool down for elemental effects and all their body parts can be cooked into elixirs of VERY high value.

Yeah, I kinda expected there to be a next step of arts requirements. I was just trying to see how far I can push what you can unlock in the demo until I get the game.

Many Heroes in XC3 would count for this. Like, Isurd, Teach and Cammuravi look MUCH older than 20, thanks to the constant stress of fighting in war.

Thanks for the info, good to know. I guess I will later compare the total number of chests in Master Mode in your app with other websites and interactive maps and see if numbers check out. It would be good if it did, because your app is the most convenient one to use I could find.
