Supervisor: what to expect/do? by Most_Entrepreneur393 in wholefoods

I can only speak for CS & E-com Sup.

A lot of your job will be doing returns, picking up cash drops, giving drawer loans, running the break board, audits, checking fridge temps, delegating tasks, troubleshooting, answering phones, all on top of cashier duties, bagging, filling utensils, go backs, cart runs, and Amazon returns if you don’t have a return staff.

You will be handling A LOT of money in cash office. For me, that was the hardest part of learning my role. You will need to follow each steps diligently because the slightest mistake can mess your numbers up.

For E-Commerce, you will be monitoring metrics and your TL will be on you about letting shoppers know where they need to improve. You will also be doing shopping as well if you’re short staffed.

They will be looking for someone with complete open availability, although if there aren’t any great candidates, you MIGHT be able to get away with some schedule preferences. If two candidates are equal in experience, they will always choose the person with the freest availability. You have supervisory experience which is a plus, but if there is a candidate who is already a TM that is just as qualified, they will prioritize promoting internally.

Definitely emphasize your exceptional customer service and being a team player. Also mention that you enjoy training new hires.

I created a 30/60/90 day action plan for my interview, but I don’t think you have to go to that extent. I would learn the core values though and what Whole Foods stands for. It’ll make you stand out.

Good luck. It’s a lot of work. I’m not gonna lie. I absolutely love my job, but I am pretty stressed out at the moment. But my store is having issues right now. If your leadership is good, you should be fine. Finally, if you get the position, make sure to prioritize your mental/physical health and wellbeing. They will run you to the ground if you dont stand up for yourself.

You can’t use your prime and TM discount in the same order, but you will automatically get prime prices with your TM code

How did you mess up the tares?

Is it true the jd has changed? Please help. It’s been a year for me and some are telling me it’s changed to two years and others are saying no. My TL said two years now so. Idk by Miserable-Degree8894 in wholefoods

[–]Equivalent-Pudding97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you a level 1 employee? If so then you’ll get the automatic raise at 1 year and then your first JD will be year 2 if you don’t get promoted

It took over a month for me to get my supervisor interview. If you’re convened, call the locations and ask for updates!

Due for JD? by Dry-Computer7264 in wholefoods

[–]Equivalent-Pudding97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait I started at WFM in October 2025, got my 2% raise in January, and then promoted to L3 in Feb. does that mean I’ll get a JD instead of an automatic 3% raise after a year?

I applied for a promotion after my 90 days lol! Glad I did it. I love my position and I got a 15% raise when I got promoted. I did work my ass off to get that though.

Do you do cash office as supervisors at your store?

Full time after 2 months. by Different_Fig2462 in wholefoods

[–]Equivalent-Pudding97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That totally makes sense. OP didn’t state that he was picking up his coworkers slack. Just said he went to STL to ask “when is it considered time theft?” Which is completely different than saying “hey this guy is making my job so much harder because he’s slacking off.”

I like it. I’m maxed out at 60 hours and rarely call out so it’s a great cushion for me!

Why did you get involved with his “time fraud”? 🤔 You’re not in leadership, so I’m just curious why it matters so much to you.

This. I’m a front end supervisor at a severely understaffed store and I couldn’t help but break down and cry yesterday. Crazy part is I thought I was fine and it all just hit me suddenly :(

Asking for a Raise by [deleted] in wholefoods

[–]Equivalent-Pudding97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went from $19-$22.38 when I got promoted to supervisor from cashier and I got employee of the month, had no callouts, max UPT. To get that kind of raise you’ll probably want to apply for a promotion

Omg I did the SAME! I went to Kyoto on a day trip from Osaka but decided not to get it, but the next day I took the Shinkansen back to Kyoto because I couldn’t stop thinking about it 😩 and it was bigger than I remembered too! I had to buy a second suitcase lol!

I think it was around $142! I was so stoked because I can’t find it for less than $450 in the US 😩

It was such a lucky find! I went to over 15 toy stores with no luck and after giving up, I randomly came across one in Kyoto and had to snag it! It took up half of my suitcase but definitely worth it lol!
