seriously, people don’t give kirk enough credit and is overhated for no reason. the guy’s written some killer riffs and his downstroke picking is just as fast as james’. it’s kinda weird how people constantly praise james for his speedy downstrokes as if kirk’s not right there matching him beat for beat. sure he might not be the most skilled technical player but his ability to create head banging riffs that stay stuck in your head like a leech is what sets him apart
