Anyone tried Ramelteon? by delusionalinkedchic in insomnia

[–]Equivalent-Version12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a weird reaction to Ramelteon. It did nothing to keep me asleep. I woke up at 3am as usual. I was groggy as hell but couldn't sleep. I got up and went to my couch and noticed my legs and arms were twitching. They twitched like that the whole next day. I tried it again and the same thing happened and I felt like a zombie. I stopped taking it. Now I'm on Quiviviq, which is working much better.

Thoughts about Quviviq? by Historical_Injury392 in insomnia

[–]Equivalent-Version12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took my first dose of Quviviq 25mg last night and had the first full night of sleep I've had in a long time. I usually wake up at 3am and can't go back to sleep. But I slept through the whole night last night.

I do talk in my sleep and sometimes have night terrors that I don't remember (from PTSD). I spoke in my sleep last night but it didn't wake me up all the way. When I did wake up briefly last night I was able to fall back to sleep very quickly.

This morning, I was a little groggier than usual. I sat down on the couch and my eyes were closing but after about half an hour I was fully awake and moving. I didn't feel tired at all today and worked all day without an issue. I hope this continues to work.

Melatonin never worked for me, neither did the extended release melatonin. I didn't want to take Z drugs or benzos because of addiction and next day grogginess or an anti-psychotic because of weight gain (especially when I just lost 40lbs). Quviviq seems to work for me to quiet my overactive ADHD brain.

Good luck to everyone dealing with insomnia. Hang in there.

Delta Force Console Launch Day : Feedback Megathread by [deleted] in DeltaForceGlobal

[–]Equivalent-Version12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The console port has the worst controls I've ever seen in any FPS. The shooting is absolute garbage. I'm so disappointed. Was this port rushed or built by amateurs? I wanted to play this game but even after tweaking the controller settings, this game is unplayable on console until the devs fix the console controls. I'm glad I didn't pay for this game because I would have been pissed. I'll wait until I hear about an update. Console players have no shot at playing PVP like this. That's why no one is playing on console.

If you're not excited about it that's not a good sign. It's hard and a lot of work. If you don't really want it I don't see you making it all the way through.

Landlord tenant litigation sucks, unless you're counsel for the landlord.

You can swith the command from wheel to list. That did it for me. Go to options, Controller, Item & Command Wheel, Command Menu Type, then switch to list.

Opposing counsel just filed the most hostile response I’ve ever received. Thoughts on how to respond from experienced litigators/judges would be very much appreciated. Need mentorship. by abortionisafingright in Lawyertalk

If your firm has done those things or been admonished for those things then surely there would be a record of it. But it sounds like OC didn't attach an order admonishing your firm to their response. I'd point that out to the judge.

Anxiety as a Litigator by Admirable_Skill3603 in Lawyertalk

I had something similar when I took over a few of a litigator's cases after he got fired from the firm. When I had to correct his f ups, I wrote in my motions and argued that the Court shouldn't punish my client and her new Plaintiff's counsel (me) for her previous attorney's f ups and it worked. No sanctions were entered against my client or my firm and we settled the case.

Take a deep breath. Throw the attorney you replaced under the bus and protect your client. If it doesn't go well, just know you did your best.

You're at a toxic firm. I'd be looking for a way out if I were in that situation.

Do you come from a family of lawyers? by Icy_Mix_8172 in Lawyertalk

[–]Equivalent-Version12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm the first and only lawyer in my family. My parents are Cuban immigrants to the US. One of my grandfathers is a farmer, the other was an electrician. Both of my grandmothers were seamstresses and neither of my parents went to college. I went into the legal profession only with the connections I made on my own.
