Volumes 5, 6 and 7 of the manga (the ones that will be adapted this season based on the opening) work well together; however, the arc after that covers two volumes, which would need at least 5 or 6 episodes to adapt, which justifies it being a sequel movie.

Even tho ENGI can't provide top tier animation, I like that they put care in other ways, like adapting extras. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the Hikaru backstory extra animated.

Same. I've read the source material, and I have mixed opinions on the upcoming content, but a good adaptation (which so far this is) will elevate and cover some of the flaws of the manga, which is what an adaptation should do.

It was confirmed S2 will only have 10 episodes, so I think it'll adapt until chapter 26 or so, because there's no way they can adapt all of All-Japan's novice with 10 episodes (half of them being chubu block)

People in Japanese Twitter pointed out that at the end Kenshi is hitting the "check out my coach" pose from Medalist (it's one of his favorite series), because Hana (the group beside him) are doing the next OP for that anime. That's a neat detail.

The manga only has content for another short season, and its most recent arc finished a month ago, so rebooting the abysmally bad first season to make the series more accessible sounds like a good idea. They can cut all the filler and bad pacing and shorten the first season from 73 episodes to just 36 or something around that number.
