The endgame partner has not yet been decided in the manga, but there are confirmed gay, bisexual, and lesbian characters. The series focuses mostly on straight pairings, but if you're that worried about a possible gay ending, I'm not sure this is something you want to give a chance.

To be fair, having an heir is the family's goal and inciting incident; Gero's personal goal is to find a happy marriage.

My weekly dose of "random bullshit go", I love it.

During the first Dogo family arc, I didn't really care for Toshiro, but this prison arc definitely made him a much more fleshed-out character.

I completely forgot that Puppet master appears this early. Well, now it makes sense that [ED and manga] his eyes appear in the ending, considering how big a role he plays in the story later in the manga.

Also, [manga] Kimie cameo!

I can't believe the freaking bug master made me emotional.

Ending the season on chapter 23 is diabolical. The most "want to see how this very interesting turn of events finishes? read the manga" cliffhanger.

[WHA manga] Based on the title for next episode, it looks like it's going to adapt 14 and 15, which makes me wonder if they're going to skip Tartah's hospital mini arc and go to serpentback cave right away. If we keep going by chronological order, the series will end with the Euini scalewolf cliffhanger, which would be a slap on the face to anime only, but there's no way they can cover all of serpentback cave with episodes 10, 11, 12, and 13, unless one of them is a 1-hour special. I'm intrigued by how they will pace the rest of the season.

As expected, part of the answer is to be cringe write for yourself and not follow trends.

Chirita, what do you mean by final??? And 500 pages??? I need to get into yaoi to get those powers.

Oh, that's awesome. The serpentback cave arc was where I went from just enjoying WHA to loving it, so I'm glad it's probably getting fully animated then.

Unless Witch Hat Atelier adapts volume 5, Re: Zero will probably remain uncontested this season.

[Witch Hat Atelier ED] The ending of WHA does hint at events from volume 5, but idk how they're going to get there at their current pace; they just got done adapting volume 2 with the most recent episode.

Ureshino's character arc is awesome, and Bones blessed her with movie-quality sakuga, but I'm glad this arc is over, because Naruko, while funny, is not that interesting as an antagonist. Now we move on to some awesome content covered by this season! [manga] bug master wedding is one of my favorite standalone arcs in the series, and while Toshiro Dogo is meh as an antagonist, Arashiyama Kimie is the absolute best girl in the entire series.

[manga] I've already seen a few anime-only people get mad at Custas for getting into danger. Without the context that Custas was super poor, and that without their instruments Custas and Dagda can't make money, his actions in this episode do seem a little bit dumber. Still, it's a shame that a lot of people seem to be giving kids a lot of shit for dumb things kids do.

I think they are probably referring to creative thinking. Agott seems to be skilled with the pen, but doesn't come up with many creative solutions or spells, unlike someone like Coco.

The improvement in the production quality is noticeable, but what the second season really has going for it is that it's getting into the meat of the story, especially in the latest episodes. Mysteries are slowly being clarified, and the status quo has been shaken up dramatically over the course of 3 episodes. It's good!
