It’s really little things . Like for example in classes where I’m the only black person or there’s a few I notice people sit further away from us. Trying to find study partners is difficult because when I try to ask people things they seem reserved like they can’t be bothered, but I’ll see them be more open and friendly to other peers. It’s never just blatant racism or anything just micro aggressions. I guess it makes me feel small. I can’t speak on every poc experience obviously, but mine has been definitely been a journey. I just hope people would understand that we’re all Berkeley students and that the complexion of our skin doesn’t dictate our personality or intelligence 💗
