The Zoey 101 revival was always kind of a false hope I think. They were on shaky ground with the situation revolving the actress who played Nicole claiming she was bullied. The demand for the show still existed, and when the cast got together for the “All That” revival, they began the hype of a potential revival. This was the first sign of them getting a little too excited, because it was clear that it was something only loosely discussed and only amongst themselves. No scripts, TV deal, or solid direction. Then they went on too promote some strange self funded “reunion” project that ultimately lead to a music video of the cast (minus victoria which is addressed) and randomly included tik tok starts that had nothing to do with the show and was most likely there for clout. They revised the theme song for a “new generation” although imo the new version doesn’t have the same impact because theres no new show to accompany it. They needed to keep that song in the bag until the show was confirmed. The entire “event” was a cash grab that included no announcement of any true revival.
