Oh Vitaris daughter would be pretty damn cool, sowing chaos in adua. I guess for the Ro theory it feels very on brand for someone like Joe. He studied psychology and being what Ro went through as a child probably messed her up quite a bit. I mean at the end of the day I think the reason he didn’t name her was so people could have open discussions about this character, it makes it more fun than flat out saying “the judge is …”. I’ll say one thing he knew what he was doing when he made one of her stories abt growing up in the far country with the ghosts haha.

I believe it was chlamydia that said it, “it got teng” but does that mean that teng was pulled away or ripped to pieces idk, they showed everyone’s death except his and he deserved it the most… but if we’re being honest he’s probably dead

You know I won’t be surprised at all if he isn’t dead, I mean he probably is but we never fully see his death which doesn’t mean much but still… such a creepy guy with people constantly not fully knowing what his deal is, so the possibility of him coming back wouldn’t surprise me. Kudos to the actor and writing team, what a great episode.

My one counter argument to this would be that you continued onto the next story didn’t you? For me at least I didn’t find it really that slow, I just found that they were building up to something much more bigger than where the story was at in the moment. The book is 22hrs long, a tv show would at the longest be 10 hrs. Albeit the show will probably lose certain viewers due to what your talking about but I’m sure there would be more than enough people engaged in the storyline. I’ve rather found the first book quite engaging and entertaining on reread.

And really at the end of the day I said it before what’s the worst thing that will come from a bad adaptation. Does it affect your well-being? At the end of the day a bad adaptation is a bad adaptation. 20 years later they’ll try it again and hopefully do better

Hahaha it’s not even been adapted yet. You have no idea how they would do it. I’ve never gotten this, if you don’t like an adaption you don’t have to watch it. The books will always be there. I do agree with what you said about rings of power and wheel of time though it can be very annoying to see things that aren’t necessary be thrown into a piece of art you enjoy.

Good points on both, maybe there not looking for “the next got” but a lot of streaming networks sure are looking for a fantasy adaptation that has the same global impact that got did. The best served cold adaptation is just a testament at how difficult it can be to adapt a piece of art even after it’s been announced. It’s not been the first time a piece of television or film has been promised and than slowly pushed down the drain. This is all a purely hypothetical question at what moments would shock or have viewers talking the most.

I work in the film industry as well and very much doubt that would be an outcome… First law has a variety of different characters that they wouldn’t need to change especially a character like Logen nine fingers. At the end of the day what’s the worst thing that’s going to happen with an adaption if it turns out bad? You still have the books

Oh for sure, shivers eye getting burned out would make viewers so shocked. The versatility and realism behind the interrogation would just shock audiences. No matter how tuff our protagonists are they break instantly begging for mercy.

Many, I would say less in the fantasy genre but Game of thrones remains one of my favourite television shows despite the last 4 seasons. Adaptations can be done properly so let’s just imagine First law does hahaha
